got some boots from Fly (via Amazon) - I'm a 6.5 to 7 so went for 7 and the size was spot on for me.

I got fly shoes recently, usually I am 4.5 - 5 in a shoe, and after a long day of hard shopping my feet fitted very well in the 4, so it might be that different styles vary quite a bit.

are you going to let us see which ones you are thinking of buying? always willing to look at footwear.

which site are you looking at? might be available elsewhere... Schuh and Office sell Fly ...

I'm a 6 and I bought size 6 Fly boots last year (can't remember the name - knee high, black) and they were fine. But I bought some shoes (Yuna, Yoda...something like that) in a 6, and my feet were spilling over the sides and my toes were squished.

Though if they are out of stock that's kind of irrelevant, anyway...

I tried on fly booys yesterday, but couldn't do them up over my calves.

But I did get fab Fly shoes, red patent with chunky rubber wedge. I am usually a 4.5 and bought a 3. I am never a 3.

Gorgeous stuff though I thouht.

Incidently, whoever was looking for Frye boots, they now them in House of Fraseer. Couldn't get those on either those.

Chuky calves and a high instep!!

I have some fly shoes and they are generous.

Yes, I think they are on the skinny side (not wanting to blow one's own trumpet but I do have skinny calves - knee boots are often very gapey on me).

I much prefer the first ones - v. nice.

my calves are thicker than my thighs! it all seems irrelevant as i appear to be slow on the 'red' uptake

I love both of those pairs of boots. I've got some Fly ones and they're my usual 7 and fit perfectly. I sympathise greatly over the whole 'calf' issue, I can rarely find boots that will zip up.

Chacuna, they are fab boots, I think they are nice in all the colours.

I bought fly shoes from amazon too. I'm five, they were size five they fitted fine.

I would buy another more wintery pair except they don't seem to have them on the website anymore.
