I've got a ticket to the perfume event too, no parcel yet, as I'm on the hunt for my forever scent. Though I love my mum's scent - original Miss Dior - it might be odd to copy her.

Hi all, joining you on this thread, although following my advent calendar haul, I don't think that I'll be needing anymore beauty products until at least 2023!

On the plus side, I haven't bought any clothes or shoes for at least the last 4 months, as I've been too distracted with beauty products!

Oh god. More CB woes (although mild woes compared to some of your stories).

I got so fed up with Look Fantastic emailing me 100 times a week to tell me items on my wish list were in stock, that I deleted everything off my wish list.

Unfortunately that didn't stop the emails - the wording on the emails just changed ever so slightly to something like "an item you had on your wish list 2 years ago is in stock".

I've just had 2 emails from Cult Beauty telling me that items on my wish list are in stock. Argh!!! At first glance I thought that it was LF again, but no, CB are obviously adopting all of LF's worst practices.

It's such a shame, I used to love CB but I can't see me spending much money there now. It just all feels a bit downmarket and mainstream instead of niche and luxurious!

Look Fantastic have also been bombarding me with emails. I signed up for their email newsletter as they were offering a discount code for signing up.

Then I discovered that the discount code didn't work on anything that I actually wanted to buy, and I've been bombarded with multiple emails per day ever since .

I wouldn't mind getting their emails if it was one or two a week, but it's totally ridiculous so I've unsubscribed.

@LoveLabradors, I think that Next box is excellent value. I actually forced myself to write down a list of everything I’ve purchased beauty wise over the last month or two to stop myself buying it. It did the trick

@RockaLock, @MidnightMeltdown The Hut Group (now just THG) actually sold themselves to the market as a provider of software; they have definitely moved Cult Beauty onto the same software as LF (and indeed Skinstore in the US) which I think is all about targeted marketing and offers to try to lure people in. I agree it’s super irritating. I have rather relished all the news stories about how badly their founder had misjudged his communications to shareholders, and how poorly the shared themselves have performed.

I see CB and LF are now doing a pretty much identical deal for 20% off Olaplex. This is going to get really tedious really quickly, isn't it? I used to like CB but already the email spam is starting just like LF. Might be time to switch to Space NK or Liberty,
