Hi there,

Have you found that when you were using a facial brush, your acne was made worst ? I'm using one because I really wanted to clean my skin as well as possible. However my chin is now covered with red raw spots, yesterday I had 3 big ones and they all had massive white heads (sorry tmi)...do you think it's because I use the brush ? I clean my skin with pixi glow cleansing. Thank you

My teen DC have one - to begin with it did cause a breakout but now their skin is much cleaner and clearer. You need to use it gently as harsh treatment of acne prone skin is not recommended.

Do you wash the brush properly after each use?

Maybe I was too harsh on my chin ? The rest of my face looks clearer and cleaner, my chin is covered with scabs and spots...the gunk that coming out it is really hard :( sorry tmi. Maybe I don't wash it properly, I just rince it after use. That's all.

Over stimulates the skin, acne needs a gentle touch and these things tend to make things worse

I use a clarisonic and it really helped my acne. Have you been using it for long? Most things that help make it worse first IME!

My teen son and daughter both use clarisonic brush and have had great results. More teenage blackheads than full on acne though. I can tell that if stop using it for a bit and so can they.
