Opaques that aren't shiny??

I've tried m &. S, Sainsbury's and tesco but they're all shiny which is annoying because you can't tell until you've bought them and put them on. Any recommendations for black thick ones that aren't shiny?

Boots have some non shiney ones in 60 denier. However to make shiney tights Matt have you turned them inside out?

I do this all the time with shiney tights, works a treat and I don't think you can tell (although perhaps I'm fooling myselfSmile)

Oh this is the holy grail. Marks used to do great ones (cotton cashmere I think) but the last ones I got were definitely not matt. I now stretch tights over my hand before buying them to check shine levels.

Falke Pure Matt are ok, Matt Deluxe are even better. Failing that, the cotton or wool based ones have no sheen, but aren't especially elegant if that's a factor. The less stretch the less shine, I've found, so try a size up perhaps?

Wolford! Velvet de luxe are not shiny at all. Great tights & will last a year.

I just mentioned these on another thread, but I get all mine from Amazon. They come in all colours and are definitely not shiny plus they never fall down. I wash after every wear and even tumble and they are still like new. The reviews are mixed but I never buy from anywhere else. The ones u have in today are like a dove grey Smile

M and S 100 / 60 denier Autograph Velvet Touch Opaques are completely matte and much cheaper than Wolford or Falke. They're v good but only in basic colours.

I had some 100 denier ones from primark last year that were non shiny, although not investigated any this year to see if still the same. M&S Autograph ones are also good but more pricey

You need Charnos tights! They do a matt range, £6 for 60 denier although they do higher too. I usually buy them online, but you might be able to find them in House of Fraser. Don't buy all the grey ones though, they are my favourite Grin.

when they are shiny it makes your legs look like sausages in their casings.. very annoying, I agree.
