Next children's shoes - sizing question

Not bought Next shoes for kids before and wondered if they tend to come up large or small? DD is between a 6 and 6.5 so not sure whether to go for a 6 or a 7. If they come up large I'd rather order the 6 as the 7 would be way too big....

I have found in general they are small so go for a 7 rather than a 6 but the odd shoe does run large. It also depends on where you get your DDs feet measured. For example my DD is in a startrite 11 and a clarks 11.5. She has a pair of ugg style boots in size 11 from next (bought last winter) that still fit but her size 11 party shoes from Next are now too small so she would need the 12.

What shoes are you looking at buying? Im only asking as DD tried on a number of thier shoes and boots at the weekend so could maybe advise on the specific shoe if it's one we tried out.

Thanks for the reply, thanks!
I was looking at the zip detail boots, see pic. She was measured at clarks as a 6 on one foot and 6.5 on the other. There is a next I can get to and see if she can try some on, but I know they only have limited stock in store and they can vary from one shoe to another, so if they don't have this style in a 6 and 7 I won't be able to compare. Might be best ordering both into the shop and trying on there and returning what we don't need...

If they are the boots with the cat on them then we did try them on. The 11 fit ok but not much growing room, the 12 was better for growing room but a little too wide (DD is an E fit). I would say if her feet were a bit wider I would have got them in a 12. We tried on the similar styled boots with cats (with fabric inside rather than fur) and the 11 was a much better fit than the 12. We didn't buy them in the end as DD only liked the furry ones.

I would say if your DD has normal to wide feet size up to a 7 but with slim feet the 6 would probably be better.

Also with Next it's worth asking staff to check the stockroom as a lot of the time they do have more sizes in but just not on display due to limited floor space. I've done this a few times and they have had the size needed in the back.

Thanks so much, that's really helpful. I like the tan ones with the lining, but also the other colours in the same style which don't seem to have the thicker lining.... DD is an F fitting. It sounds like the 7 might be better.... I might plump for a couple of styles and order in to the store and go and try them and see what else they have. She's outgrown her clarks doodles from the summer and only really has wellies that fit properly at the moment bless her!

We did go to clarks the other day to try and get some new shoes, but they literally had nothing to fit her in the shop! She tried a few styles in 6 or 6.5, but they all came up too tight or too wide or too short if she went down a size to try and get the width right. I have to admit I didn't love any of the styles they had in either, and they had NO boots! Ideally I'd like a pair of nice shoes, T bar style perhaps, and a nice little boot. Next seems to have the best offering for the latter....
