Can you help me track down a larger size of this dress (or something similar)?

This is my DD's favourite ever dress. My mum bought it from George at Asda about a year ago in the sale for about £8 (full price was only £15).

It is now very much on the small side for her, but she really, really wants to carry on wearing it (ASD, so difficult to reason with her that it is too small).

I would need size 7-8. Ideally only want to spend up to £15, but would go to £20.

The pink one is lovely (what shop is that from Karma?), but a bit on the pricey side.

I think green is a very important factor, it being her favourite colour (although she has been saying a bit more recently that pink is her favourite, so she could be open to persuasion).

If it's the colour she loves would something like this work?

Or this

Or this one

This one is slightly darker green with daisy lace.

It's from Next, I have a free voucher code for £20 off £50 spent that you can use.

Yeah it's pretty, bought one as a birthday gift for my sister's daughter 2 weeks ago. smile

Have you tried ebay?

I would post on Asda's social media asking if they can help, they're very good with this kind of thing. I saw a story recently where they tracked down a replacement of a discontinued security blanket for a wee boy who lost his instore.

If she's the same width, just needs a longer bodice you could see if someone ( if you can't do it yourself ...me I'd have a go) unpick the bodice from the skirt, add a piece of similar fabric to the bodice then re attach the skirt. ( if it doesn't have a zip)

OP if that dress was from the 9mth to 6 year range it's possible that they didn't make it in the older range so you won't find 7-8. I just scoured eBay for you but nothing like that came up.

this one looks quite similar

Lookdownthesofa Tue 13-Sep-16 13:05:03

Ooh thanks Karma, is that one also from Next? Might still be on the pricey side though, even with a voucher, but thank you for the kind offer.

You know, I hadn't even thought of trying eBay or amazon. Some very pretty dresses there.

I think the current dress is age 5-6, so you could be right about it only being in the 'infant' range. Good idea to contact Asda though; I did wonder if they might release more party-style dresses in the lead up to Christmas.

She has got wider as well as taller!

Thank you everyone for looking for me. Will take a closer look at the eBay and Amazon ones now.

m.next.co.uk/clearance/115382 I was just searching for some bargains for my dd's and came across this OP and thought of you... Looks similar I think. Only size 9 left.

Thanks again everyone. I've gone for the one that Tallulah linked to above on eBay. Hope DD likes it!
