Making eye makeup stay on

I wondered if anyone had any tips about this? My mascara often leaves me looking like a panda (have watery eyes) and my eyeshadow never seems to stay on. What do you do to keep eye makeup on?

You may find that one of the tubing mascaras works best for you.
For eyeshadow you could try something like Trish McEvoy Eye Base.
It comes in a couple of different shades, you need the one that best matches your skintone. I often just wear it on its own, without eyeshadow, it makes me look more polished. (I just said a S&B swear word )

It's ££££ but it does work. I'll be interested to read suggestions for something less expensive. I've tried using concealer to do the same job but for me that doesn't work.

I use a tubing mascara now, and it doesn't budge. Not through rain or tears! I've tried the estee lauder double wear mascara and benefit they're real. I think they're real is fantastic, and I will buy it again and again. You will need to make an effort to remove it though, as it is so long lasting. I find that micellar water takes it off fine (I use bioderma) but maybe any eye make up remover would.

I also use an eyeshadow primer. I asked on MN for recommendations, and then bought the original urban decay one. It has lasted nearly two years already (I use it every day but you only need the tiniest amount) and I still have some left.

I use Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion and NARS Eyeshadow Primer; though I find that Urban Decay is cheaper and has generous amounts for their price.
When I'm in a rush I use Smashbox Photofinish Primer classic on my eyelids too (even though I shouldn't but it still does the job).
Smashbox Primer water is a great alternative to an everyday moisturiser if you want a lighter feel than the classic.
Urban decay Make Up Setting Spray is excellent for all round longer lasting makeup; the All-Nighter Setting Spray is good for hot weather.
That should hold most of the slap!

Benefit They're Real ends up all down my face! I love L'oreal double extension beauty tube, it is brilliant. It's the only mascara I will wear. There is a Superdrug own brand tubing mascara that is very popular with those in the know - it's always sold out near me. Think it's Be Lengthening of something like that?

I use a Mac eyeshadow base, it looks like a creamy concealer. Can't remember how much it was but a tiny tunes has lasted years and years because you only need a smidgen. It works pretty well at keeping the makeup in place and not creasing too much.

Smashbox photobox primer works so well! I used to have the same problem with eye makeup sliding off but the first time I used this I was amazed, my makeup looked exactly the same at the end of a night out clubbing as it did at the beginning! I can highly recommend it. It's sold at boots so you could use boots points to help pay for it too!
