What (if any) hair accessories?

I've finally grown my hair long enough to have it up and am getting it done for a black tie wedding. I guess I have to provide the hairdresser with grips or clips but gave no idea what to buy. I'm not wearing a fascinator. Do I need a big fancy clippy thing? Or just hair grips that will be hidden?
Please help a hairstyle numpty. Thanks.

Fancy hair slide? I expect that the hairdresser travels with kirby grips etc.
