bigTillyMint · 20/07/2016 17:36

Has anyone with very blonde eyebrows had them tinted?

I am thinking about it for my hols but am worried they might come out too dark. Do they do a v light brown shade?

This is the brand they use at Bliss when tinting eyebrows. I bought a darker version and it's great. Takes 3 minutes

I second BlackSwan's recommendation. That stuff is very good and easy to use.

Take it off very quickly the first time if you're nervous. You might find you'd prefer it a bit darker but it's a good starting point until you get the hang of it.

Thanks! I am actually thinking of getting it done in a beauty salon - surely they would have something similar?

And saying that, DD does her own really well - maybe she could do mine if I got a pack!

Cheap as chips and incredibly easy to use, and comes in lighter shades.

Yes it depends on the salon so ask them what shades they have.
A good brow bar or salon will carry a light brown, medium/dark brown, black and a grey.
Tell them you want them a light brown. I have mine tinted with a light brown and it's a nice cool tone brown that if not left on long gives a nice soft but defined colour.

I used to use Colorsport from Boots until they changed it and it's rubbish now. I need to find something else. motherinferior can you reuse that just for men stuff or is there a lot of waste?

My eyebrows are very fair and I find the trouble with getting them done in a salon is they don't go dark enough.

I had this done for the first time last year - wish I'd done it years ago! Looks so much better. I get mine shaped and tinted; and an eyelash tint.

I also use that wonderbrow stuff to top up in between. I'm very fair but the brunette shade is the best for me.

I have blond eyebrows and have them tinted brown at a beauty salon. I couldn't live without it, but the only problem you may have is that for it to last you need to have them quite dark.At first, you may be shocked by their appearance but the tint fades very quickly. If you have them lighter, you will like the look instantly but within a week it will have disappeared. You will be amazed by the definition they add to your face, so I'd take the plunge. I'm way too old to have the high definition eyebrow shape, so I have half circle shapes and I really like them.Interested to read about the recommended top up, I'll be trying this.

I use an eye brow brush and shade them in every day, but I was thinking to get it done for less faff on hol! mumofthemonsters, that's what I'm worried about - if they have to be very dark to start withShock!

I had very fair eyebrows ive had them microbladed dark brown and now get a wax and tint every month to cover the very light hairs. Made such a difference!

You won't look back big tilt, it saves so much messing about, especially on holiday. If you're unsure, have them done natural looking the first time and see if you like them and then go darker on the next appointment because then they last and you get your money's worth.i must admit being horrified the first time I had mine done because they looked like slugs but they were great within a few days.I now have them dark because I can't afford to keep going back. I have my lashes done too, but they seem to last better. Make sure where ever you go, that they do a patch test, to avoid an allergic reaction.A word of warning though, it becomes another debt, I can't not have mine done now.

Right, you have spurred me on - I will book tomorrow. Eeeek!

motm, could you DIY with one of the kits linked to above to save money? I am only really going to a beauty salon because I got a voucher from my lovely colleagues and I am scared of letting DD having a go

I have blonde eyebrows and just ask for the lightest brown my salon has. Always very pleased with them.

mumofthemonsters808 · 21/07/2016 20:20

I've never done it, but I don't see why not, you could get the eyebrow shape done by the beautician then it's really just a case of painting the tint on, but I'm not very good at anything fiddly and I'd be worried that I did one eyebrow different to the other one, but if you're used to doing your own eyebrows, you'll probably be fine.

Warning, if it's done well it's addictive! I have darkish brows but still get mine tinted when I get my brows waxed once every six weeks. I love it, they just fill them in nicely!

I've got very blonde eyebrows too but I get them either waxed/threaded every 6 weeks and dyed light-mid brown. I was also terrified beforehand but it really does make a difference & will frame your face.
I have tried the diy tinting but it always goes too dark when I do it myself; much better to let the professionals do it. Be brave!!

My eyebrows are white blonde so are barely visible. The last time i had my eyebrows tinted by a proffessional it wouldn't take! She had me lied there for more than an hour and was baffled by it. Anybody professionals out there with any clue as to why this would happen?
