What do you wear for a vow renewal by the sea? *pics included*

I'm stuck. I am going to a family members vow renewal in July, at the seaside. It will be windy, possibly drizzle as it is the UK!

The couple have said casual party wear Hmm groom will be in uniform and bride will be wearing a non white party dress.

I have no clue what's suitable and what isn't. I am also still a little self conscious after baby and so normally to stick to black. I do want to treat myself to something new and different so I have found the following, can anyone advise me?

Oh I'm tall, I'm 5ft11 and I wear about a size 12. I prefer dresses that hide lumps and bumps.

Thank you!

My opinion is the maxi one is over the top and not what I would call casual party wear, I just cannot imagine it on a UK beach. The green one is ok if you're confident about exposing your midriff. And I just don't like the blue one. My opinion.

Of your choices, I would go with the 1st dress.x

I think out of my choices I have decided I don't like the first one. I'm not that brave, and I don't think I'm young enough to wear that!
I quite like the blue on, the long cream number is probably not appropriate.

I really like the options you put up -whereisthewine I definitely prefer the first number.

I may have to actually go and search Westfield. Confused I hate shopping!

I don't think the maxi one would work on a beach, too hampering to walk in for one thing, and its shape is awful. The cutaway midriff one might show lumps and bumps Smile and is more smart lunch or cocktails than casual party.
The blue floral is a good useful summer dress, so might be your best choice, a lot would depend on what you wore with it, as it could be difficult to make it look "special occasion".

I love the green dress but you've gotta be smooth under it and I think your skin tone has to be right to carry off the colour.

The blue doesn't look dressy enough to me?

Long dress just wrong for the occasion.

Perhaps your right about the blue dress! I was drawn to it because it's so different thank you all!

Btw I won't be on the beach, the guests will be on the promenade looking over the ceremony. But still on the windy UK seafront!!

If you could find a jacket in one of the colours in the blue dress, that would make it work well.
The blue dress is about £40, perhaps buy it and see what you can find to go with it, it is a very pretty summer dress.
