I need some casual shoes that are NOT trainers...help please!

I am looking for something comfy for doing the school run in, popping into town, out with the kids etc. I have boots, walking trainers, soft trainer/sneakers and my lovely Birkenstocks (which obviously I can't wait until the weather is warmer). I have just put my converse in the bin, but I don't want another pair because they aren't really very comfy in all honesty!
I need something for this weekend as we are going away and likely to be doing a fair bit of traipsing around, I just can't seem to find something casual that I like for this in-between winter and summer period. Can anyone help? What are you all wearing?

I love my Toms, they're insanely comfy, suprisingly warm with no socks as they keep out draughts (old biddy klaxon) and I've gone on city breaks walking miles wearing them. They have ones with espadrille soles now which are a definite improvement on the earlier versions.

Somebody will be along shortly to recommend the Skechers Go Walks and even though they're not cool, I can't disagree that they're heavenly for the feet and everyone seems to be wearing them these days. The Grey ones are the nicest, I think.

The Toms look quite nice, need to get out and try them on somewhere as not sure they will suit me. That is definitely more in line with what I am thinking. I don't like Sketchers at all...
