help I am getting old lady hands!!

skin on my hands is suddenly seeming old and crepe like. Inevitable sign of ageing or do I need to start soaking them in olive oil or something??? I'm 44.

I just recently had an epiphany regarding my hands! I decided to start treating them like my face and I use glycolic acid toning pads, hyaluronic acid serum, cerave moisturizer and tretinoin cream on them after I apply these products to my face. Factor 50 spf every day. I just apply the last few dregs of toner, serum, moisturiser etc on them after I have applied to my face instead of rubbing my palms on a towel to remove excess.
I think my hands look much better in the few months since I've been doing this.

There's also Hand Chemistry's retinoil specifically for this purpose, don't expect instant results and use a sunscreen on top.

I treat my neck and the top of my chest the same as my face and apply all the same products. My theory is all these areas, including my hands, have had the same exposure to the sun so have all aged accordingly.
My butt has never seen the sun and doesn't have a single wrinkle!

Just use Hand Chemistry's Retinoil and obsessively apply sunscreen to try and stop the rot from now on.

Or if you are a Retin A/tretinoin user I smear the last bits over the backs of my hands after I've done my face.

Basically it is sun damage so treating your hands, neck, cleavage like you would your face ie retinol, Cerave (ceramides and niacinamide), SPF.

Right now, I'm still using a cheapy one I bought from iHerb. It's called Reviva 5% glycolic cream. But when I've finished this, I will try Paula's Choice 8% gel. I have tried PC weekly (sample sachet free when I ordered) 10% and it's nice.

That Reviva brand is very good, though. Completely took away my surface dryness.

Tretinoin is from eBay.

My hands are very much Old Lady Hands (but I wash them endlessly at work, NHS soap isn't the most beautifying, and vinyl gloves)

I use L'Occitane Shea Butter handcream and those cotton gloves overnight (£ Shop sells them).
Mine are far worse in winter.

Mine are the same. My face has hardly a wrinkle and I have never used products on my face. At 47 I scrub my face in shower each day with Clean & Clear face scrub and rarely use moisturiser. But my hands are seriously old lady hands. Can anyone recommend specific creams that I can buy from Boots? Isn't retin A only on prescription?

The clarins hand and nail treatment in the white bottle is great op so it's worth getting a tube of it but I could do with doing more too.

Are the glycolic pads those nip and tuck ones ?

Use rubber gloves for each and every cleaning task.

Use a really good foot cream every day and rub the excess into your hands.

Fedupwithmyhairagain Legally Retin A is prescription only (some buy it from ebay, not something I would advise) but Retinol is available OTC as it's a lower concentration. Hand Chemistry's Retinoil is available at Boots, it can be used all over the body and the company has indicated it is safe to use on the face too.
