Lack of waist and looking for edgy or glam hair

Two things that are really bothering me these days - my lack of waist - at 30 inches and 34 inch hips - and my hair colour - it's just such a boring mix of brown and blonde highlights.
Has anybody had any success re-training their waist?
Has anybody gone for an edgy colour or edgy way of using blonde highlights?

Hips are ok but thighs are tree trunks
