Ok, I'm a size 12. Generally happy with my body expect for my tummy!
I exercise, good diet have not had carbs for weeks but no difference.

Need new summer clothes but need to get way from baggy outfits which make me look bigger.

What can I wear??

If you've not had carbs for weeks and don't notice a difference then I don't think you are doing it right. When I low carb I notice a difference around my tummy after less than a week.
I am a size 8 but 30FF boobs so I can't wear anything which hangs, most of my dresses are structured so they emphasise my waist. I can't wear 'floaty' tops as they will hang so I don't even bother trying them on.

Have you checked your posture? Sounds silly and obvious but I didn't realise how bad my default posture was until I needed physio for something. I definitely had a tummy as I sitting into my hips and pushing them forward. Correct posture sorted it out, combined with core exercises. Pilates good or anything with weights. Forget sit ups, they won't work in isolation.

Agree that if you are truly exercising regularly and properly, you should be seeing a difference after a few weeks though. Cutting carbs is not necessarily the right thing to do for you, if you don't have any diagnosed intolerances, cutting carbs won't necessarily make a difference, especially if you are making up the calories with other stuff. You need to be in calorie deficit overall to lose weight. (sure you know that!)

Are you in my mirror, Calista???

You don't look overweight, you look like you have stomach muscle/posture issues.

I've realised it's my stomach muscles post-pregnancy (like still 5 years post delivery of youngest) which are to blame, and have started looking into Tupler and MuTu systems (check out exercise threads for more info).

I'm hoping to start a 12 week program of either (through you tube vids rather than the expensive programmes) to see if it makes a difference - summer dresses are the worst offenders for me. Too fitted = sausage, too floaty = pregnant. No middle ground Sad.

Yeah, I forgot to mention in my post about that post pregnancy muscle separation thing (diastis....?? something!). Assuming you've had kids? Check with your doctor, there are exercises you can do to help, but conventional ab exercises can actually make it worse if you're not aware.

I would also say that that dress (and I saw your other thread!) is absolutely the worst style for your figure so probably makes it look worse than it is. I'm pretty slim and toned yet have never been able to wear tight jersey bodycon style dresses, I would look the same as you - especially before I got my posture issues previously mentioned sorted out.
