How fast does your hair grow / how often do you get it cut?

The getting it cut bit will probably relate to your style too but I find that mine grows super fast. I got it cut about 6 months ago to just below my shoulders and it's probably grown nearly 15cm since then.

Before that I hadn't cut it for about two years and it'd grown past my bum.
I don't want to get it all the time but it just gets too long! How often do you cut your hair?

About once every 9 months. I probably get 4-6 inches taken off at a time.

Mine is in a shorter style so probably about every 10 weeks or so.
Yours sounds like my dds - she has it cut as short as it will go and still be long enough to put in a ponytail, then before you can turn round it's off down her back again.

Every four weeks because I have a very short style and it grows really quick. I have decided to grow it as it's costing a fortune.

Dd can grow her hair from a bob to her waist in a year. Luckily she likes the hair long now, so she has 3 trims a year.

Supposedly, hair grows around 1cm a month- so 1 inch and a bit in 12 weeks.

I get mine cut about every 8-10 weeks depending on how much was chopped off before. I always ask for around 2cms, and my hair is mid-length. I can go for longer between cuts but suddenly it starts looking a it tatty and loses shape (long layers).

Its long and I haven't had it cut for a record 16 months, although I colour it at home. It does need a god 2-3 inches lobbed off the end if I'm honest, but have got 'the hairdresser fear' at the moment.

Usually, I would go 2-3 times a year. My hair grows fast, but it doesn't need a trim every 6 weeks. No way.

When I had a short bob, I had it done every 8 weeks with monthly fringe trims.

Since stopping having it cut & coloured every 6 weeks I've been getting trims every 8-10 weeks while the dye has grown out.

I have very fast growing hair.

I've grown it from ear length to waist length in a year previously.

I get it cut every six weeks just now but the style is designed to accomodate my fast growing hair so that it looks nice even between cuts.

I get mine highlighted every 8 weeks but only cut twice a year it's currently just below my shoulders as I had it cut in dec, won't be cut now till June or July. It grows about a cm a month on ave but more some months and less others.

I wish mine was fast growing! I've tried to grow mine unsuccessfully back to mid-back length for the last, 6 years but my stupid hair colouring obsession put a stop to that & I keep having to to get regular 'chop offs!' Don't think mine will ever grow long again now, it changed in texture as soon as I hit my 40's...and I've tried the hair growth shampoos, which don't work, not on me anyway! No, it's time to down tools as they say, well hair colours should I say & see if I can get this crowning glory to grow! Oh, I usually cut it myself, or I might go to a local salon every 6 months & get a proper cut!

Mine is very curly and rarely looks longer than shoulder length. I had it cut to collarbone length 2 and a half years ago and it's now about 2 or 3 inches past my shoulders, but only looks just shoulder length.

So jealous of people whose hair grows so long, so quickly!

Fast - about an inch and a half every six weeks. Mine is in a Louise Brooks type bob so the fringe looks shaggy towards the end. My hairdresser says she's never seen such speedily growing hair.

Shoulder length that should be cut every two months because it goes out rather than down.

Mine is cut every six weeks....short choppy bob. I don't suit long hair at all so it never gets past jaw length.
I had flowing locks about 40 years ago but short hair since I was 19.

Does the rate of hair growth really vary from person to person?

All very well saying it took x amount of time to get to waist length, the actual length will depend on how tall you are

Cut it myself evey 4-6 weeks, its very short atm because I'm cutting the dye out so
sniping at it every week now.
It depends on my health to whether it grows well or not.

Like stink, and it goes postal in the sun. It doesn't just need cutting every 6 weeks (it's a very short style) but radically thinning out too.

Mine is bra strap length. This time last year it was about 4" shorter so pollyperky is about right in my case.
I have it trimmed about 4 times a year just the ends and nip off any straggly bits in between myself.
