I'm having a hormonal cystic acne break out at the minute and think my skin care might need altering a bit... Confused

I use lush ultrabland to hot cloth cleanse. I really like it.
Then an aldi q10 day cream.
I use the aldi night cream at night.

My skin feels dry in the morning, even though the night cream is fairly rich/ greasy.
During the day my skin seems to get quite oily by mid afternoon.

I think I need less greasy, but more moisturising creams.

Should I have a serum too? Confused

Help me please! 😬

Maybe your skin is dehydrated to try a serum which adds moisture.

If you like Aldi skincare, they do a serum (red bottle) that is really nice (I bought the Mature as I'm nearly 50).
I'm not lucky with their moisturisers though, they make my eyes sting if my face sweats (which it does when I hot flush) but I like the serum, it's not oily and like all Aldi skincare , very reasonable.

You do sound like you need moisture though.
Water to drink Smile
Water and a slice of lemon?
Some people swear by Vit D but you need the right doseage.

Do you use a toner after cleansing? It helps maintain the correct pH then your skin is more responsive to the moisturiser

Superdrug own brand skincare is fab. They dos few different ranges, I've tried and liked the naturally radiant, vitamin e and clearly youthful ranges. The clearly youthful is targeted at breakout prone skin but also fine lines etc
They are all £2/£3 each

Thanks all! I drink plenty but agree my skin does sound/ seem dehydrated.
I've found an aldi serum (white and blue with h2o on it I think) I'll try that tonight.
