Anyone have a tip/product for taming wiry (dyed) greys?

The top layers of my hair are around 80% grey, the underneath no grey at all. The grey has been dyed along with the bottom layers as I went slightly lighter all over so the re growth wasn't so noticeable.

The problem is the greys are quite wiry and frizzy, made worse I'm sure by twice weekly straightening to smooth them down. I use Frizz Ease and a cheap leave in spray conditioner but neither do much tbh.

Anyone know of something that might help? No chance I will let it grow out, it's just not something I'm comfortable with yet, maybe when the rest of it loses pigment.....maybe...

I've tried pretty much everything to tame my wiry/frizzy hair (also fairly grey and frequently dyed) but what works for me (and is currently very trendy) is the co-wash method where you only wash your hair using conditioner. If I do use shampoo, I'll also condition and comb through but don't rinse it all out. For some reason with me, this works better than a separate leave-in conditioner.

BTW I've tried everything that John Frieda has to offer for frizz taming plus some pretty expensive TiGi / Redken hair tamers and Aveda oils. I feel very envious when I see someone's mane of glossy, swishy hair!

What about hairspray? Spray on brush, and then brush though top bit. Tames mine.

Ooh I'll try that smoothie I have noticed when I shampoo my hair feels really dry, always remedied by the conditioner but even so.

Thespotted Hairspray drys it out even more, there's so many greys not sure that would work but I'll definitely give it a try.

Not convinced John Freida is much coo to be honest, I have the de frizz hairspray too and as I say it's really drying.

I don't dye mine, but I use argan oil after it's been shampooed/conditioned/blowdryed. Its pretty good, but I think I have fewer grey hairs (prob 35%).
Do you wash every day? That won't help...

Wash every 3 days, I've had almond oil on it but didn't see any improvement will look for argan oil and give that a go.

It's so odd it's only the top that's gone grey? Been that way for a few years and the underneath is still great?

Sounds crazy but I find using vaseline hand and nail cream and then rubbing the excess over the top of my hair like a serum works wonders ....!

Fairylea I'm guessing that would work with most hand creams? A moisturiser is just that no matter where you put it I suppose?

Yeah I guess so! :) although for some reason I find that particular one a bit more shiny rather than matt on my hair and I like that. It's basically just a serum I guess!

If you are in the UK dash into B&M for some (under £2 ) I have no shame ;) about to go and stock up :) it's the best conditioner I have used :)

I am in the UK but we don't have a B&M, hundreds of £ shops though so maybe one of those would sell it.

Just bought Dove dry oil shampoo and conditioner, not tried it yet but as it was half price worth a try.
