Oh god, I've been meaning to buy one of these and was aiming to get one in October when I'd saved enough.
I'm off to see if I've enough in the bank to buy it now!!

So tempted - but is that a good model? I am sure I read some where that not all models are as good.

Kitty it's literally the top of the Phillips range! Ironically, I may not be able to buy it because I'm waiting for an Amazon refund for £240 to be processed!

Amazing deal, thanks for posting! Seen one on Boots too, but don't think it's as good.

I'm off to find the Lumia thread to see what model everyone was raving about...

I've just read a few articles that say IPL machines are a waste of money. I'm beginning to doubt myself now.

After the course of treatments, how long do you remain hairless? And then do you just go through the whole cycle again?

I bought one few years ago when they were half price - it's amazing! Mine doesn't have the face bit but I would not use that bit anyway. Used mine for about 5-6 months then pregnant with dc3. Started using it again about 8 weeks ago (was BF still) made massive difference already. I have very thick wavy wild bush hair on my head Shock and though honey blonde the hair underarms/legs is very thick too. I was sceptical at first as I had a course of IPL at a salon about 10 years ago which made no difference at all. This is amazing worth every penny!!

I had my bikini line done in a salon years ago, and I have to say it was the best money I ever spent (prob about £1000 back then). About 8 years later I only have a few faint stragglers coming back which I can now zap with my new machine!

I've had Lumea compact for two months. No change in my facial hair yet at all and I'm using level 5 every ten days. I've pale skin and dark hair so in theory it should be ideal. I'll just keep shaving and zapping but fear I may be one for whom Lumea doesn't work its magic. It cost £100 with a Philips discount online so not hundreds of pounds but I'd be happier to see some improvement.

Me too - been zapping away for months with no discernible reduction in hair. Also pale and dark haired and using maximum zappage.

I have the facial attachment one, but I started waxing again once I realised it didn't work.

Really hate that you have to keep shaving while using it because it doesn't work - seems to defeat the purpose. Massive waste of an eye watering amount of cash!

Double Boots points were nice though Smile

blisterface it's the facial shaving that's driving me mad. I have to shave at least twice per day. I don't even bother using it elsewhere; I'd just be delighted to have minimal chin hair. I used to pluck which worked well enough but I'd get spots. If I could change anything about myself it would be to have no chin hair. Over lip hair I can cope with!

I've bought it now Grin

Quiet I guess the one you bought differs from the one linked in the OP?

Gutted I missed this! Had been looking at them yesterday. How did you know about it?

Sillybillymuckypup · 06/08/2015 06:08

The boots one linked above is still on offer but it's lumea prestige not lumea precision. Anyone know what the difference is?

Report
QuietIsland · 06/08/2015 15:39

Pata it was different. It's the Lumea compact which is smaller.

Report
Patapouf · 06/08/2015 19:05

quiet of course, I've just seen your Pp! I don't think the review for that one in general have been as positive.

Report
QuietIsland · 06/08/2015 20:28

That might might explain my lack of success pata. I'll persevere though!
