Help me find a good under-eye concealer

I'm always reading about the miracles that a good concealer can do, but I've never managed to find one that works for me. I have quite dry skin and it never seems to 'rub in' enough; just sits on top of the skin and dries it out further (I do moisturise etc before putting it on.)

I don't have dark circles and not a huge amount of wrinkles but I'd like something to make me look a bit brighter in the mornings!

Clarins instant light. It's perfect. I've used loads of different ones, and it's by far and away the best I've tried.

I don't think such a thing exists - have tried loads! sorry

I like Benefit Boiing. Don't usually spend a lot of money on make up but it's worth every penny IMO.

The Clarins one is amazing. Better than anything I've ever used (inc By Terry, YSL, Nars etc)

Well that seems fairly conclusive Grin

Apparently it is reformulated though! And not as good as it was?

I have very dry skin and have just bought a Rimmel lasting finish one that was recommended by a friend and it's great, a nice finish, it was only £5.99 I think in super drug, I got the matching foundation but I haven't tried that yet, I got a free bronzer as well for spending over £9.

I've tried lots and loreal touch magique is by far the best for me.

I recommended this one on the korean skincare thread. I have it in no 1 light beige and think its great. I also have this one and use that as a general concealer but it can also go under the eyes. Also have that in no.1.

Rimmel one in a red tub, it's about a diver and is the BEST under eye concealer I have ever used.

Bobbi Brown Concealer with some Eye Brightener over the top works for me really well.
I was recommended it on here. I have dark circles & sallow skin.

I watched an online tutorial on applying concealer and the make up artist recommended this www.muastore.co.uk/pro-base-conceal-and-brighten-kit. She said that it's essential to neutralise dark circles before applying concealer and the three colours in this palette work really well. She recommended it over more expensive brands. Sorry OP I know you said you don't have dark circles - lucky thing Smile but mine are awful so I'm off to buy this palette tomorrow. Maybe you could just use the light shade, it's so cheap it might be worth a try.

I use either MAC pro longwear with the prep and prime pen in light boost or the new urban decay naked one x

Hi,

I think the Collection Lasting Perfection is fantastic.. it's a bargain too.

The trick is to get a good under eye moisturizer but let it dry it otherwise the concealer will be slipping all over the place. I generally just carry my sunscreen up underneath my eyes.

I put mine on in vertical strokes rather than horizontal and that really makes a difference.

Will try to post a pic here to demonstrate.

NARS creamy concealer. Best I've ever used for dark circles.

I second the Collection Lasting Perfection one. I have the Clarins one which is great for a few hours but then I found I needed to reapply it. The Collection one stays put all day. I use the Avene soothing eye contour cream to prepare the under eye area for concealer. You can get it in Boots.

Thanks all.

Gertrude that's a great tip re how to apply it - I've always put mine on horizontally, will give it a go.

I third the collection 2000 lasting perfection one- ive tried loads inc more expensive ones (MAC, YSL, Benefit) but sticking with this, long lasting, blends well and good colour.

I also absolutely love Benefit Boiing, it's brilliant and I love the colour of it. Not too pale like a lot of concealers are. Lasts ages too.

If you like the Benefit boing the Rimmel one is a dupe and only a fiver, better lasting power too.
