Are there any cotton sun dresses about?

I'm so old for shorts & find a dress to be most comfy in hot weather.
I had old Boden one years ago; a cut on the bias linen one with spaghetti straps.
Not for a special occasion, just lolling about in the garden or wearing on holiday.
I'm a tall 12 with no bosoms and wide hips.

Do you want cotton/linen/stretchy fabric?

One that you need to cover underwear straps or do you not wear under sundresses?

What sort of price are you looking for?

What colour/print?

And do you Not want to the The-World-And-It's-Wife wearing the same as you?

I saw some nice cotton/mix dresses in Sainsburys - lovely chambrey shirt dress type, bit SamCam looking; but everyone will have the same ( same goes for M&S)
I don't do dresses really (thick waist) but I could be tempted this year.

I think I'd prefer plain cotton, linen at a push.
Need to wear a bra, but strapless would be fine.
Plain colour (navy or grey) would be ideal, definitely not too jazzy a print.
Would happily look like SamCam but it's sadly unlikely grin.

I've trawled through the JL website but will definitely look at Sainsburys. Thank you.

I have this, it's flattering on (I think) . Pale grey, cotton, comes in longer length and it's on sale!

Uniqlo

They have a nice lineny dress (more formal though) an long straight stripey TShirt dress (not flattering to my shape at all) and ......

A drawstring waist cottony jersey polkadot dress in black/white, orange/white, pink/white or navy/white. Round neck and straps about 1.5" wide so will hide underwear straps.
£14.99 , I went for the navy (but I have pink sandles so I might get that one too)

I have this light denim dress from new look.

I find it very flattering - but do have to wear it with a strapless bra.

I have this m.topshop.com/h5/product?productId=19114214

It's so comfy & good quality for the price. I think they do it in other colours too.
