Help needed - DH's wardrobe update

Hi, I'm a bit useless at the whole shopping and style thing but agreed to help my DH to update his wardrobe (he is even more useless then me). Inspired by a thread from yesterday I did a colour analysis for him (he's deep autumn :) and arranged grandparents to babysit for us so we can go shopping tomorrow. I have no clue which shops to go to! He is quite skinny and tall, very late thirties (ok he is 40 Grin). I would welcome any suggestions - I was looking into getting him some assistance at John Lewis but from their website I can only see that they do it at woman's departments. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated :-)

Are you sure John Lewis only does women?

I would suggest Banana republic or Reiss for someone in that age range.

My husband is 44, 6ft 3 and slim.
He doesn't need to wear a suit for work so tends to wear chino type trousers in navy, petrol blue or tobacco. He buys them in Next or Gap. He wears a lot of fine stripe or checked shirts from Next, Gap or Uniqlo. He also buys fine knit v neck jumpers from Uniqlo in various shades of grey. As everything can be mixed and matched, it saves time in a morning! He tends to wear Camper shoes or shoes from the Dr Marten shop.
At weekends he mainly wears jeans. He buys brands from John Lewis. He has a Superdry hoodie, North Face jacket.
Hopefully this might give some ideas!

Can't help, sorry. Have given up on my dp. In the summer he wears chino shorts and either a blue or grey t-shirt. In the Spring and Autumn he wears jeans and either a blue or grey jumper or a blue shirt. In the winter he wears jeans and a chunky blue or grey jumper. Nearly everything is from M&S.

Thank you for all the replies!! Will def call John Lewis and double check.
We will also head to the shops you mentioned - have never been to Uniqlo but the stuff on their website looks promising Smile we might give M&S a try as well Grin

Zara Men could be good for his build too? And possibly FCUK. Both cheaper than Reiss but not too dissimilar in style.
