My ripped Jeans have ripped :(

My favourite pair of topshop jeans have rips in the knees which have ripped further and now just look a bit silly :(
They're £45 and I haven't had them long. Is there anyway I can repair them?

Were they meant to have rips initially? If they have ripped more than the original rips, I'd just take them back and see about getting a new pair.

I'd take those right back - not fit for purpose. I've never bought ripped jeans because I always wondered if that would happen. :-(

Yeah the rips were there originally but now they've ripped underneath the original rips vertically if that makes sense

Definetly take them back!!
I got a pair of jeans with a small rip in them [ more like a little hole] and i worry about the rip getting bigger!
The rip is a bit over the top now on your jeans and tbh, at the price you paid you would think they would have put something on it to hold the rip from getting bigger.

Take them back. I have a 2 year old pair of Topshop ripped jeans and that has not happened with mine. Starting to wear away under the crotch but not that!

I bought some jeans similar to yours from river island, they have done the same when i knelt down to tie ds's shoe lace.

I think i have the same river island ones as wherestherealme. I absolutely love them but now have a huge gaping hole and it's gone from trendy to trashy.
I hadn't even thought about taking them back, but you're right, they should have lasted longer than this. Thanks for the encouragement everyone, I'll give it a go!

In reference to your original question op I've been wondering the same. I was trying to think of a way to put a matching or contrasting patch behind, but just thought it would look naff
