Are lacey tights still fashionable?

For the past couple of winters I've noticed a couple of the fashionable ladies at work wearing lacey tights. These lovely ladies were my secret style guru's and whilst I didn't copy what they wore item-for-item I took note of their style. They have both now left and I'm at a loss to know whether to still wear lacey tights - are they still 'in'? Or too yesterday?!

No idea but I wore some to work the other day and got lots of nice comments on them. I don't care if they are fashionable or not tbh.
