Paul Costelloe bags

I was in TK Maxx earlier and glanced at the bags.
I saw a rather lovely bag by Paul Costello but don't know much about them.
Are they good bags? Is the one I saw worth the £70 the label said? It said it WAS £250 but I know that's meant to be nonsense isn't it?

Dunno about his bags, but my local TK Maxx has lots of his clothes and they are lovely. I bought several tops and googled him to see other stockists and it looks suspiciously like they only sell via TK Maxx now.

Didnt know he did bags. Tbh his label has been in the doldrums this past few years and he has tried a number of things including a home collaboration with a budget chain in Ireland. His linen wear was exquisite in years gone by

Got to say I went back and bought the bag.
I LOVE it! It's THIS but in dark chocolate brown.

The problem I have is we are mixing in different circles to my norm through DH work and all the ladies seem to have designer bags (think LV, Mulberry etc) and I don't have anything like this and can't justify nor afford anything like that either (although if I won the lottery..) but at the same time I don't want to feel inadequate (this is all coming out very first world and pretentious and I'm not articulating well)
My usual style is classic vintage (because the odds of someone wearing the same are slim) tbh which I've always loved interspersed with new bits, but I feel so out of my depth and can't compete with their shiny, designer stuff (and I don't even know that I want to) I just don't want to feel uneasy.

SirRay keep to your usual style. Don't turn into a Mulberry clone. Get a good quality leather bag that doesn't scream designer logos all over the place, much more classy and much more original.

Thank you Drywhite you're right of course.
I really like the bag I got yesterday so that's something.
I have always thought it isn't what it cost but how you wear it that counts and as long as it fits properly that's half the battle but with bags, that seems to be a different story. Grin
