Turning this dress into office wear?

My office is fairly relaxed, I wear a lot of dresses.
I got this one

It is lovely and so comfortable.
It needs a cardigan or something to make it less beach party and more relaxed office wear. I tried 3 on this morning and settled on navy but it didn't feel right. What could I wear with it? On the top part?

I have a patterned one in that exact style and I intend to wear it with brown boots/shoes and a fitted cardigan (ie not a slobby one)
