Best everyday "my lips but better' lipstick

Just that really! I'd like to treat myself to a nice lipstick that I can wear everyday. Not too bright/too nude (worried that my teeth might look yellow!), sort of my lips but better. I'm darkish blonde, pale but pink undertones, green eyes. Sorry don't know if cool/warm, I find that v confusing. Don't like gloss at all.

Maybe a mac one as they seem to have the widest range of shades?

Thanks :)

Not a specific shade, but I find plum/brown sheer ones good for this. Most makes do a sheer range.

I quite like the Clinique chubby sticks for this purpose.

I hardly ever wear make-up but when I got married last year I was very pleased to find a Screenface shade that was 'my lips but better'. Stayed on all day too. Can't remember what shade it was (sort of a bricky red) but your lips are probably a different colour anyway.

Dior Addict Lip Glow, absolutely bloody amazing, one colour, very sheer but brings out natural colour in lips, adore it.

Another fan of the chubby sticks here!

How about Mac Syrup or Hug me?

I personally use Clinique Chubby Sticks or Laura Mercier Pink Pout.

There's also No7 lip pencil in Nude - I personally find it a tad too brown for my lips, but that might just be me.

You can also use a normal lipstick as a stain so it's a thin layer where the texture of the skin shows through - I do that a lot (with or without a lip balm underneath). It makes a brighter/darker lipstick a little bit more wearable for everyday use.

Generally, lipsticks with yellow (warm) undertones can make your teeth look yellow. Lipsticks with blue (cold) undertones tend to make the teeth look whiter.

Clinique Almost Lipstick is great but pretty much discontinued apart from one shade. Chubby sticks are an OK substitute. Watching with interest for other options.

Another recommendation for chubby sticks. I fear I have an addiction to them though...

Mac are quite drying tho, chubby sticks are better.

don't think this will be much help but I bought a No7 limited edition Poppy King lipstick ages ago (in a silver case) and it ticks all the boxes you mention. I am same colouring as you too. Cannot remember the name of it!

otherwise I think bobbi brown do great MLBB lipsticks! try brown pink or blondie pink?

I like the Clinique chubby sticks too - my favourite one is Bountiful Blush which is very much 'my lips but better' Smile

Revlon lip butter in pink truffle. I have similar colouring and this is perfect - beware of going too brown.

MAC Twig is a nice everyday colour and there is a gorgeous Tom Ford one (Indian Rose I think but it could be another one) which I love - his lipsticks are fantastic quality, really creamy and highly pigmented so last a long time, although are very pricey.

I got caught out with no lipstick on me and Morrisons only had Rimmel or Xollection 2000.

I bought Collection 2000 vintage rose and it's far superior to lipsticks costing ten times it's price. Lovely shade, longevity and not drying.

Thank you so much everyone! I already have Mac Creme Cup, forgot to say but it's a bit drying. I've heard good things about Plumful.

I have the Revlon lip stain in Honey but it comes up really bright on me. And the lip butters melt!

Have a look at NYX, they are very cheap but so much better than Mac. Not to be confused with NYC.

I started buying years ago but in the last few years the formulations have changed and the lipsticks are very drying.

Lipstick Queen Medieval is a clear light red that looks a bit as though you've been eating a lot of berries. Very easy wearing and pretty.

I have same colouring as you and wear mac fast play and No 7 lip pencil in caramel (the nude is too brown for me).

Kids lip butters are the best sheer balms.
