Sizing in Next clothes for older teenage girls

The sizing is done by age. Anyone know if the clothes come up large?

Only going by my 8 year old but I'd say they are slightly on the smaller size in the older girls range. Dd is a 7-8 in places like joules, Boden but easily a 9 in next.

No they wouldn't be large. My 12 year old is a very slim build and about average height. She wears an 11 or 12 in tops. Age 12 in trousers or shorts is perfect length and needs a bit of pulling in at waist. I find their skinny fitting trousers/shorts are a great fit on her (very thin) legs. So a more average build child would maybe need a size bigger.

I think they are on the small side. My DD age 10 wears age 14/15 in Next. Usually her clothes are age 12/13 or 13/14. She is 5'2" and average build.
