Low cut heels? Help me find a forever pair please!

Am fed up. Can't seem to find a pair of black classic courts/pumps that fit correctly. I'm a size 4.5 (which narrows choices down to begin with) and I find most shoes rub/cut into the area below my big toe (where you would get a bunion IYSWIM but I don't have one). I've tried loads of 'real' leather/suede ones in the hope they'll stretch and soften but they've all shredded by feet Hmm

Would a shoe cut lower (that has more toe 'cleavage') be comfier? Pointed rather than round toe? Would like no more than 3/4 inches high, preferably suede. Have 'big' birthday coming so don't mind splurging on a decent pair!

Was looking at CL Pigalle 85 any other suggestions please?

Can't link at the mo cos am on iPad but Russell and Bromley do a lovely pair which have a similar cut to the Pigalle - they're called Fifth Avenue.

Thanks Foxy! I like the look of those and the Power and Plunge styles too (though a bit higher)

Am off to NYC soon so am wondering if I can find a pair there? These J Crew look promising too.

Or maybe something asymmetrical like these zara ones (but lower!)

Ooh love some of those shoes at Zara. Though I'd go for the Pigalle 85 if I had the money I keep swooning over those

The zara ones are very high!!!! Nice but vertiginous!!

Not so keen on the power and plunge shoes. They don't have that cut that just screams money!!

What 'cut' is that Foxy? (Curious?)

Not so keen on the Office ones sorry. Heel looks a bit 'dumpy/squat'' compared to others.

I'm going to have to spend a day trying on a gazillion pairs aren't I? Confused

Expensive heels just look more elegant to me - they sweep down to the floor and the whole of the front part of the shoe sits flat on the ground. By contrast, cheaper shoes seem to curl up ever so slightly (see the office ones above as an example). The heels are also always more elegant - finer and placed in the perfect position. And theyre usually cut lower over the toes, with less 'shoe' covering the toes. Hard to explain but easy to spot. I am yet to find a pair of cheaper heels that have that same styling.

These are lovely but I'd buy the pigalle over these if I was spending a lot. Good luck with finding pigalle 85mm in black though!!!

Just to contradict myself though, these are very well designed shoes that come at a very sensible price and look pretty much indistinguishable from some of the more expensive brands. They look just as good IRL too.

Those Rossi ones have also been pinned to my Pinterest board Foxy Wink

See I bought these Topshop Gene courts at Xmas thinking they would fit the bill but they cut my feet up (bitter) I've realised now a lot of 'leather' shoes have synthetic lining and the cobbler said that they won't stretch like full leather lined shoes.

Are Pigalle 85's popular then?

Pigalle 85mm in either black or nude are like rocking horse poo! There's usually a waiting list and even that doesn't guarantee anything.

See how the toe leaves the floor in the Gene ones tho. It's a dead giveaway!

The Power ones have a better heel shape and placement than the Pigalle IMO, but I see exactly what you mean about the soles curving up on all the cheaper ones. The Pigalle looks off balance with it's heel too far back to me.

So I went to Selfridges in Brum yesterday and have ordered a pair of these LK Bennett Florete. (They didn't have my size in stock) and they were reduced too! I tried LOADS of pairs on and have concluded that round toe heels are really uncomfortable for my weird feet and I need a pointy shape for comfort.

They only had the Pigalles in pink and in a large size, but it was a suede pair I really wanted so fingers crossed these LKB's will be ok!

Ooh what colours Foxy? They had a fab hot pink pair too. If they are right for me I might get other colours

Ive got black, which I wear to death for work. I've got raspberry, which I got brand new off eBay for £27 :-) and I've got beige. I want the yellow ones too but I keep baulking for some reason. It just feels so frivolous!,

Well, the Floretes arrived and were too tightConfused. Tried walking around the house to stretch them but just not comfy so I've sent them back Hmm

BUT, I ordered the TopShop Golden ones and they're perfect Grindon't cut my feet, not too high and nearly identical to the LKB'S. they do have a synthetic lining but the shape works better than the last pair I had. I might get the pink pair too
