I see the likes of Lisa Faulkner with lovely looking cheeks and wonder how I can get this fresh looking face.

Use a pinky or a coral cream blusher. Stila convertible colour is lush.

MAC foundation and Warm Soul blusher

Invent a time machine.

Seriously, youth is the best dew there is. Go back in time to when you were 17 or 18. Grin

I think facial oils are working for me. Clarins Blue Orchid is ace. It has given me a healthy glow and sheen. Blushers will only work if the skin underneath is supple.

You can use make up that are light in colour and have a shimmery effect. But for a possible dewy look. It is better to preserve your skin, and make sure that it is clean each day.

You'll find some nice info on this link. I do not have the electric brush but I do have a manual one, and yes, a good daily cleansing technique will go a long way.

I didn't get along with bobbi brown pot rouge. It felt too heavy on my cheeks.

What colour of BB Pot Rouge do you have? I have the Calypso Coral but find it just a bit too bright for me. Was wondering about the Melon colour? Any recs?

Hah! Finally on a style and beauty thread. Get the little pots of Maybeline creme blush in you actual skin colour, don't go darker or lighter or the effect isn't natural. Creme is the key, NOT powder.

Put blush on the peach (fat bit) of your cheek, blend a bit at the edges. Use a highlighter Laura Mercier is a powder, but expensively good, but pricey. Or a liquid type from Boots and Maybeline, and the Superdrug MakeUpAcademy (MUA) repackaged as MakeUpRevolution, I think, do good copies.

It's the powder, you need to try and avoid,it dries your face and sinks into haggard fine lines and makes you look older.

Also TOP TIP, only learnt recently. Thinning brows are a sign of age. You don't need those weird TOWIE / Kardashian "Guess Who" flipperty flip type eyebrows. Draw in your brows, just for definition. Pencil, powder, whatever, just look at celeb type people, all uniform filled in, one colour, regardless of skin tone and natural colouring, you don't need the stencil kit (wtf).

ALL have defined brows.

Another vote for High Beam! I bought it for my wedding, having suddenly remembered brides are supposed to be 'radiant'. Been in love with the stuff ever since. It works well with BeneTint. I see they also do A Sun Beam now, for darker skins, and four different Tint shades.

My pot rouge is fresh melon, the lady on the BB counter suggested that one, I'm very pale and it makes me look so much better!!

I use a L'occitane lip tint type thing. it is very sheer and not sticky, and looks very natural.

here. lasts FOREVER!

Benefit 'Feelin' Dandy' is a brilliant kit. It has Posie Tint - a pink cheek tint to put on apples of cheeks, High Beam highlighter to put on cheekbones, and Dandelion powder blusher to layer on top. I look healthy with this lot! It also has Dandelion lip gloss to wear on lips over Posie Tint which is also lovely, it's a really great kit, I know Benefit stuff is a bit gimmicky but these are all great products which work really well together. I have pale skin btw and this warms me up nicely without orangifying.

Bobbi Brown pot rouge. And if it feels heavy on your cheeks you've used too much

Well it was the bobbi brown make up artist who put it on. I could feel it on my cheeks all day, which was irritating. I would have bought it otherwise.

I would give it a little try yourself (we all know how heavy handed counter make up girls can be). It's a gel type one in a sense so you can feel it go on,kinda, with the way you do it but I don't feel it on my skin at all. Most don't which is part of the reason so many love it.

I would definitely recommend giving it another go though. It's possible you could be a bit sensitive to it and I guess it depends what was under aswell? But deffo try,the reason I love my Bobbi Brown bits so much is I can't feel them, smell them or really see them as products on my face

I swear by using my Clarasonic followed by a big dollop of Oiltium (SP?). I then apply Double Wear straight on top whilst it's wet. It really does give a lovely sheen (not greasy). It also keeps the foundation in place - longer than a primer.

I also use Rimmel's Birthday Suit lipstick on my cheeks. I never buy blusher. The lipstick is just as good as any cream blush.

The way she put it on me looked very natural, so I don't think she was overly heavy handed with it. It just didn't work for my skin, and I don't really fancy spending money to try it again.

Fair enough,I know some make up can feel obvious and drying, just never heard it with such a formula before.

I dab a little pinky lipstick on my cheek apples, then dab Benefit Holywood Glow on top and gently blend both together (or high beam as someone has said)
