What are you wearing on Christmas Day?

Do you dress differently from other days? Do you actively plan to wear loose clothes to fit the dinner in?!

I'm packing my suitcases to go home for Christmas as were spending it with DHS family. My family always dress up but DHS don't, so I'm going to wear

Grey skinny jeggings
Sequinned jumper from Zara
Spangly statement necklace
Comedy Christmas earrings Hmm
Sheepskin slippers

No one is allowed to wear slippers in my house! I will be wearing green jumper with beaded bits, black taffeta skirt and heels, which I will take off when I'm cooking. I will also be wearing my John Lewis denim apron for the cooking bits

Boden red tunic (which dh is giving me for Christmas), leggings and doutbless clarks national sugar boots - need to drive for nearly two hours!

I am wearing a black dress from Hobbs that I got for my sons christening a few weeks ago. It is very flattering. I have a nice coat and handmade scarf for mass that I picked up at a craft fair last week.

The same black dress will also do for party night this weekend and anything else for the foreseeable future Blush

Luckily not the same people at all occasions.

Then pjs when I get home!

I would like a next black sparkly jumper though.

Thermals, salopettes and ski-jacket. Plan to ski ALL DAY!

(Sorry, that wasn't the kind of answer you were looking for, was it?).
In the evening: navy jumper dress from Hobbs, some purple tights and a purple spotty scarf.

A Christmas jumper! (What else?!)

Usually nice trousers and a new tailored blouse .....the flimsiest I can get away with as it gets ridiculously hot in the kitchen, and I hate sitting down to the table looking as though I have been sweating for hours.

The rest of the family - smart casual, minus ties. Children have been known to sit down wearing strange combos of presents they really like .....including one who spent all day in a new dinosaur dressing gown Confused, and a couple of Disney garbed Cinderella's.

We always dress up, but nothing too poncy, and no tight waistbands!

I'm always Shock at people having turkey in their PJs - it's a big family get-together here and I just can't imagine that. It's an occasion! Even the DCs have to make a bit of an effort (so DS can't turn up to lunch in his favourite pants-and-dressing-gown combo, much as he'd like to).

I will probably wear a brocade tube skirt with a sparkly black jumper.

I'm wearing a black Temperley dress with ruffles down the back with some grey and black suede pointy stilettos from New Look. Hopefully later on I'll be wearing a gold watch with that if Santa has read my list Grin

We always used to dress up, but its just dh, ds, dd and myself in our little house this year. I resented being dragged around 6 different houses plus church on Christmas Day as a child and teenager and now mine are old enough to enjoy the day we are staying put. Lounge clothes for us both and pyjamas for dc.

Boxing Day will be thermals and warm clothes for a long wintry walk and party clothes in the evening.

I have bought a Christmas Day outfit for the first time this year as we are at the in laws and not at home with my parents (although we are all at in laws together - 15 of us!). We are also visiting the local hostelry before lunch so need to be presentable.

Maroon and black long sleeved animal print midi dress, black tights and black suede shoe boots. Hoping it will look ok as all ordered online and shipped to UK (we are abroad until 23rd!).

I have my eye on this skirt maybe just with a plain black long sleeve body?

Black leggings, salmony coloured long sleeved tunic, (both items chosen for their forgiving nature of a large meal), plus slippers. Going to DParents house, I prefer bare foot in the house but wont do that at others houses.

DH will no doubt wear his usual jeans, plus whatever top I buy him for Christmas.

DD is wearing a grey and navy jumper dress and stripy grey navy and peach tights.

A shimmery cream jumper, mid wash super skinny jeans and the dreaded ugg boots. Probably swapped for slipper socks once I get to my parents.

Shit, I hadn't thought about this Blush Am at the in-laws too and could do with looking half decent. I was more worried about what to wear on Xmas Eve! Going down the town centre into pubs with DP and his friends, it'll be full of 20-somethings and at 34 I know I'll get it wrong...

I have a burgundy lace skater dress from Poem which is quite Christmassy so I might wear that. Though while looking for a link for it I've just spotten this in the sale -[]www.oliverbonas.com/fashion/brand/poem/dress_reed_creme.htm Colourful dress]] - and am tempted!

What do I wear out to the pub though? I have this Next dress which I love and which is flattering, though sometimes I worry it's too summery - what would you think to that, black tights and ankle boots?

I have plenty of skinnies but no good tops to go with them Sad

Don't know how to do links but I will be wearing the Violet dress from Collectif in the secret garden print. Will wear it with seamed tights and black suede mid heel courts from Clarks. Was hoping to have a string of real pearls to wear but its looking unlikely.
