Anyone use Dermalogica?

I have decided that at the grand old age of 43 I really need to use better quality skincare products. I was at a new local salon the other day and the beautician who treated me had beautiful skin. I thought she was really young but she is actually in her 30s (I know that's not old).
She swears by Dermalogica products so I booked in for the face mapping and a facial. Just want to know if the products are worth it or if I've just been pulled in by some very clever marketing!

I didn't get on with it - gave me eczema round my eyes after a facial. But I have weird skin. I'd try it - lots of people say it works brilliantly for them.

I spent hundreds on it after my tutor at college swore by it so i thought id get a skin map done but it made my skin so sore it was bleeding, however I do have bad rosacea. I still have a cupboard of the stuff!

I have used it for years and I have the most sensitive skin ever. You need to get a proper mapping done but don't feel you need to buy all the products they will recommend. I use jersey beauty company as the cheapest supplier and from their descriptions you could have a good guess at what ones might work for you. They also send you samples!

The Daily Microfoliant is amazing at keeping my old, yet spotty skin clear. Took me a while to get to grips with using it. You use it with water to create a paste but I started to mix it with my cleanser instead and got really good results. It's not harshly abrasive like other exfoliants and keeps my pores clog free. Expensive but it lasts FOREVER.

I use some of the products. Got skin map done then bought special cleansing gel to use with my clarisonic, daily resurfacer to tone and exfoliate, and dynamic skin recovery moisturiser.
They work well for me, and I'm in a good routine with them, but they cost £££s!

I have used Dermalogica for years. I absolutely love it. Have tried other stuff now and then but always go back. I have pretty normal, problem-free skin so can't say it's transformed me. But I do think it has evened my skin tone, made my skin clearer and more dewy so I can get away with no make up. I haven't had the mapping done - they haven't that much stuff to choose between and I would think that most people know what skin type they have but if you have problem skin maybe it's a good idea? I love the packaging, feel and quality. Re price I use a foam cleanser and the microfoliant EVERY morning (cleanser again at night) and I use 2 of each a year. Spray toner twice a day and I don't even use two a year. Moisturizers smaller and more expensive so obv go through more. So not that bad really!

I also have pretty normal problem free skin and I have used it on and off for donkeys years. I have decided lately to try diff and less pricey products. From paying £40 for a cleanser I am now paying £3 and my skin looks exactly the same. From paying £40 odd quid for exfoliater I have just purchased dr hauschka one for £15 and my skin looks the same. And from paying £40 odd quid for moisturiser I went to aldi and payed £3.99 and my skin looks the same.

I used to use a lot of their products but less so now BUT the one I keep is Daily Microfoliant - have not found anything as good.

Also £20 on serum, now using aldi serum for about £3. No difference in skin. And also from £50 dermalogica eye cream to botanics eye cream £7. No difference.

I love it.
I have rosacea sporadically and use the Ultracalming wash and mask, microexfoliant, age smart moisteriser and eye cream.
And I have a Dermalogica facial every month.
I'm 53 and everyone comments on my skin.

I order mine from BeautyClub...free delivery and they always send lots of samples to try.

I like their Skin Smoothing cream, but I'd never buy all my skin products from one brand, that's just marketing guff to make you spend all your cash with them.

I use the microfoliant as well. It's a great exfoliation and helps keep my spots at bay. Skin feels really smooth afterwards.

It does cost a lot but I only buy it about every three months. £10 a month is not too much for clearer skin IMO

I love precleanse. It's the one thing I repurchase.

I don't like the products I've bought from the range. Very harsh and the hand cream was the worse hand cream I've ever used, my hands were sticky then it dried the skin out.

I really like Dermalogica; my skin definitely looks better when I use it. I like the skin smoothing cream and intensive moisture balance (for night). I liked ultra calming cleanser before they re formulated it (I haven't tried the new formula). The microfoliant didn't do a great deal for me.

Used it on and off for years. I never rated their cleansers or exfoliaters but loved skin smoothing cream as a good basic moisturiser and total eyecare ( one of the few eye creams that have SPF )

Daily Microfoliant fans might want to take a look at this:
www.boots.com/en/Indeed-Labs-Facial-Powdered-Exfoliator_1461294/

It came out the week after I bought a brand new DM, which generally lasts about 9 months, so I'm gutted I can't try it for ages.

I've heard good things from friends and a colleague who've all tried it.

I used to use it but defected to Liz Earle. Much prefer both her cleanser and moisturiser.

I've used the special cleansing gel every morning in the shower for a million years, and have recently bought a silicone brush to use with it. At my age, the scope for transformation is limited but a friend asked what I had changed in a positive way. Precleanse in the evenings, followed by a micellar water, and sometimes Dermologica ultracalming toner. Not keen on their moisturisers. (Bioderma serum etc, then finish with marula oil at night.)

DS likes the Dermologica teen range, which is sensibly priced, at the same level as Sam Farmer, which is the other range he likes. LRP Effaclar was too strong for his skin.
