Kebelo Hair Treatments

I'm booked to have a Kebelo treatment next week.

I don't know anyone who has had this before, so I was wondering if anyone here has?

Reading the product info, it is a much gentler process than keratin straightening, and doesn't produce poker straight hair - which I don't want- but I am interested in finding out if it does last 3 months, or is it a very expensive short term conditioner?

We do this in the salon I work in and everyone that has bad it done loves it. It only takes the frizz away, so it makes blowdrying and styling much easier. so if you have curly hair then it will still be curly but without the frizz and if your hair just a bit on the bushy side then it will be a bit smoother. how long it last depends on how much you wash your hair at home. If you do it every day then it'll prob last about 9/10ish weeks but in saying that, one of my clients had it done about 9months ago and she says she can still see/feel the benefit. Hope this helps.

if you have curly frizzy hair, it may make no difference- it didn't with mine,whereas keratin straightening did (and still left plenty of curl, just smoother)

I don't have curly hair, it is a bit frizzy/wavy if I just blow dry it. I have to use my GHDs to get a smooth finish.

I will give it a go and see what it is like!

Ive had the treatment and I'm very happy with the results. My hair looks in great condition and feels light and smooth.

I hope it lasts the 100 days or so promised as it is a long and smelly process!

Sounds like a permanent blow dry, lets hope it lasts.

I had this done, it cost me £150 😠 I have naturally thick curly hair and it just smoothed it, I still had to blow dry and use ghds. And it lasted nowhere near 100 days, and I wash my hair three times a week max.

I had this treatment recently and it was a bit of an expensive mistake. The advertising says that it doesn't make the hair polder straight, but it smooths the hair. I have wavy hair which is a bit frizzy, but nothing major, so it sounded ideal. However, after only washing my hair only once after the treatment, it was back to its original state. I still needed to go over my hair with straighteners to get rid of the frizz and it was just as high maintenance as before. I went back to the salon where I had it done and they went over part of my hair again to correct the problem, but it has made absolutely no difference. In addition to this, my hair now seems to get oily very quickly and I have to wash it every day. Before the treatment, I only needed to wash it every other day. I have had several different straightening/smoothing treatments in the past and this one feels like a very expensive conditioning treatment. I would definitely not recommend.

i've been having kebelo done for about 2 years now and I highly recommend it, the only advice I would give is make sure the person doing it knows how to do it properly. the treatment itself has worked better for me some times than others. i've asked a million questions when getting it done because i used to be a hairdresser and it looks like the only way it can really go wrong or not work properly is if the hair is not washed enough with the shampoo at the start, they are supposed to wash your hair 3-4 times to open the cuticles of the hair up to allow the product to penetrate the hair properly and the temperature of the straighteners is changed for your hair type and the amount of times they iron each tiny piece of hair changes with your hair type too...if the hairdresser gets it wrong the treatment won't be as successful.
i was given the pink shampoo and conditioner the first time after the treatment to use at home but i found it was too strong and made my hair a bit greasy so the next time i got a lighter one in greeny blue packaging and it's perfect.
i have reasonably short, slightly frizzy hair that gets bigger and messy looking in humidity or rain. since using kebelo I don't even dry my hair, i wash it every morning and leave home with wet hair. when my hair dries its smooth, super shiny and still has movement and natural volume. i've tried other smoothing treatments and they just made my hair flat and after a few weeks it turns really dull and dry. even with washing my hair everyday i still get at least 100days from the treatment so its well worth the £99 which includes the shampoo and conditioner you take home although the little hair masque you get as well i've never used and now have a shelf full of them in the bathroom cupboard.
i say give it a go but check you hairdresser knows what they are doing first or you'll waste your time and money

I had the treatment done yesterday and it looked lovely. I washed it today as I had been to the gym and my only issue was my hair smelled like cabbage!!!!!!! More so when wet but still slightly when it was dry. Is this normal?

Having said that, so far it is really silky and smooth and certainly made a different when drying as it was not frizzy at all. I have my hair died as I am getting grey so that I think was making it more frizzy, so this is perfect.

Not sure I could justify £120 every 100 days though and not if it continues to smell like cabbage. :-0

I am using Kebelo treatment for almost three years. I agree it is expensive as I usually pay £260 with the colouring but I think its worth the money. My hair is naturally curly and frizzy with the treatment its still curly and a bit frizzy but definately better than before in terms of looking healthier and growing faster with no split ends. If you can afford the treatment I would say go for it!
