If you had to buy a dress from H&M online tonight for a christening which one would you pick?

I have a credit note for H&M and I need a new dress for a christening I am going to. If you had to pick a dress that they currently sell which would you go for if you were me?

How old are you? What's your dress size? Do you have any "role" to play in the christening godmother etc.?

The last one London suggested is lovely.

What's your shape/colouring, OP?

How tall are you, what shape, what size, what style dresses suit you best?

Sorry, should have said I'm 5ft 4in, size 8-10, hourglass shape (good waist, but thick thighs) and 32 years old.

I have mid/dark brown hair, blue eyes, pale skin with some freckles. Usually pale and pasty but had a little sun recently so looking better than usual!

Thanks London, I love the last one in blue you linked to. None of my sizes left online though, but I think that sort of shape would be great.

What about this one www.hm.com/gb/product/13347?article=13347-A is it way too bright? It looks short in the picture but it would be longer on me than that model.

I think this is nice, if quite simple, and can be dressed up with nice shoes, accessories etc.

I think that one is too formal for day time.

Sorry I meant the first of ManAlives links.

I've already linked to the other one.

TheReverseStitch, that one is really, really nice, and you could wear it on a night out.

It does look short on the model, but I'm guessing she's taller than you.

grey shoes and, ideally, a grey snake print clutch.

London You don't think it is too much for a church christening? I want one I can wear again really and I think this could.

That model is bound to be taller than me, all models must be taller than 5ft4 I think.

ManAlive I like that green one but I fear my waist would be lost and I think that is probably my best bit IYSWIM.

When is the christening? I wouldn't pick anything unless I had a two month lead time as in my experience they can be incredibly slow to deliver!

Report
TheReverseStitch · 22/06/2013 20:43

It is 4 weeks away, surely they would deliver in that time?

They'd be good with that, yes! Clicked back to the wrong dress whrn looking for a bag though - was looking at the turquoise when I said snake print. Would be awful with the lovely print one.

I really don;t think it's too much for a christening. You'll need to cover your arms in church but that's easy done.

oh, sorry, meant to say a grey (or maybe green) wrap and white bag would be perfect.

If you can use codes alongside your credit then 1304 will give you £5 off and 0241 is 25% off the highest priced item in your order. You can use both together.

And my orders usually arrive within a week, but I know some do experience problems.
