The length is not suitable for a conservative office but assuming no giraffe legs, it could work for both. There will be mums coming from work anyway, I assume ...

I like its simplicity.

Yeah, it's definitely not work wear in my opinion.

Depends where you work. I think it's lovely!

Ilike it, but it depends where you are going and what sort of clothing is 'the norm'

restaurant yes, pub no. imho.

Great dress but like jax I'm wondering where you are going? I'm out with some friends tonight and we'll mostly be in skinny jeans, nice top, heels. But that dress would be great for a "bigger" night out.

Going to a comedy night out with a meal. Most of the mums will be wearing dresses but they are couple of years younger than me and I am 39.

I absolutely would wear it to work but wouldn't wear it on a night out! Funky enough for my office / very relaxed industry. Too formal for my nights out!

If you like it and are comfortable then wear it. I would dress more casual for a comedy club and meal, prob skinny jeans, nice top and heels, but I dont wear dresses that often. If you do, then wear it.

I like the blue one better but I think that's because it's more my shape and backs not my colour. But, this is about you. If you feel confident in one of them you will get more wear out of it in the end.

Remember you can never be over dressed.

Have a fab night out :)

I prefer the blue one for the same reasons as ML.

I like the first dress!Think skinny jeans and heels is so ubiquitous now and actually a bit of a weird combination.
