Shoe twit in HELP ME plea

I need shoe help!

I've just bought a House of Oliver petticoat to go under my skirts and dresses.

My style is. Um. Possibly a bit eccentric. Vintage 50s with a bit of the Gothic thrown in for good measure, and the odd touch of the Pre-Raphaelites.

I need a pair of flat(tish) shoes that will work well with opaques or bare legs under my skirts and petticoats. I already have a pair of cute tan ankle boots with rivets, and suede shoe-boot things with a high block heel from Kurt Geiger.

Whatever I get needs to be comfortable and chic and sort of challenge the whole petticoat thing so I don't look like I'm in fancy dress (even though that's exactly what's going on inside my little head Hmm )

My ideas so far (from Clark's!) are these rather lovely brogues, and these ballerina wedges.

But I am SUCH a shoe twit. What do you think? Any alternatives?

Apols for no

I hate the ballerina wedges - too little house on the prairie with that petticoat. The brogues are not my thing but are ok...

Any of these take your fancy:
jewelled ballerinas
cut out boots
studded hi tops
bit more delicate
silver
t bar

Yeah, you're dead right about the ballerinas...

I love the hi-tops and the boots - I think because they're 'tough' so they aren't too 'Little House', so you're bang on with what I'm looking for, thanks! It's just have 2 pairs of boots already so I guess I'm looking for shoes that have that feel....

I like the silver ones because they're sort of heftyish so would do the job, but I think silver would be a bit restricting...you're introduced me to ALDO which I didn't know about so thanks for that!

I do want a pair of DMs but thought I'd wait for winter...I really need something not-bootish. That would do for summer (should we ever get one!)

Those Mary-Janes are amazing! Not sure I could quite pull it off...The website's called Demonia! Perfect!

Thanks so much, this is really helping. I feel like the perfect shoe's out there...

YY to Cons (or something similar - might get something along those lines but more sturdy) - I just need something that can be a bit less casual...

Issima you GENIUS - Fly shoes! DSis has been telling me to get these for YONKS and I had completely forgotten. She says you can walk hours in them. And they're just the right level of chunky, sort of thing. Thanks

Faux I adore all that Goth stuff. If I ever have the courage to totally embrace my Gothic self I'll know where to go now Grin Also DH would love it

I'm not at all cool, sadly. Though obviously would be if I had some of those. Have you seen some of the Goth boots on that site?!

No I live in a Posh seaside town...my fashion sense is wasted I tell you! My winter boots last year were grey suede over the thigh boots with heels - very piratey! Love it Grin

Over the knee or thigh not over the thigh - they weren't chaps!
