Question re Uggs

Hoping someone can help me with this.
I got a gorgeous pair of Ugg Noira (?) boots for Xmas and have worn them pretty much every day since. I wear them with socks but have noticed that on one boot the sheepskin lining has worn through at the big toe and little toe so my foot is touching the leather outer. This isn't a massive problem but when it's cold you definitely feel the difference and and it just doesn't feel as comfortable.
These boots cost £235 which is a huge amount of money for me to spend on something like this and I just wondered if this usually happens with Uggs or if they are faulty, I'm disappointed they haven't lasted much longer.
Does anyone know of anywhere I can get the lining patched so the cold spots don't happen? My local shoe repairer just laughed, am in east Cambridgeshire.
TIA.

I'm on my second pair of Noira's and about to take them back as the sheepskin has worn away at the inside ankles again giving me blisters - this second pair I've only had for 8 weeks; the first pair I wore for 6 weeks. The Ugg store assured me I just had a faulty pair but reading your post I'm not so sure...I'm asking for a refund this time, they are not worth the £235 price tag!

I don't think that's very good at all. I have regular UGGs which DH bought me, and are a bit on the small side. As a result my big right toe pushes against the end a bit in thick socks. But I've had them 4 years, wear them every day nov-jan and they haven't worn through.

I've got a pair of Bailey Button Uggs and have gone through the sheepskin at the big toes.

They are a year old, but even so I'm disappointed that they haven't worn as well as I'd hoped.

I haven't got long toe nails or anything.

My DH wears Uggs (yes I know, I keep telling him but he gloats in cold weather and doesn't care anyway) and he's never worn through his.

I've got normal UGGs and my left toe has gone through the outer. I've never had a pair of UGGs last longer than a year :(

Ok well I may know why, however this is based on observation rather than science!

I have had uggs for 5 years or so and have never worn them out. I wear them most days in the cold.

My dd on the other hand has worn them through the toe and she doesn't wear them as much as I do.

I have concluded it is because she has long different sized toes!! As in the big toe is significantly longer than the little one. I have small similar sized toes so this is my theory Grin

I rubbed a hole in my first pair as they were too big and my foot was sliding around. My second pair lasted 3 years before they got a hole. These are normal uggs btw.

As an aside - why on earth are you wearing socks with them?! They are so much lovelier without and the sheepskin can do it's job properly on bare feet!

Ok thank you all for the replies. I bought them from schuh and I think I'm going to give then a call and see what they say about this. It is disappointing and I can't see me buying another pair of uggs after this. I wore socks with them as I was worried this might happen though keep my toenails very short anyway. Will let you know what they say.

Just phoned the Bluewater branch where they were bought and the woman I spoke to told me to take them to my local branch and get then to have a look. She wouldn't say whether it not i would get a replacement but agreed that it was poor for just a couple of months wear and you would expect more from a £200+ pair of b

Boots that was!
Will take them in next time I'm in Cambridge and hopefully get a new pair. Wonder if the lining on them is thinner because they are leather rather than suede. Either way I want a new pair, love them to bits but for that money they've got to last.

I have noiras too and they have just started to wear on the toes at the side . I bought them last September and have probably worn them every day since minus a few days when I have worn my normal ones . Schuh have very good customer service by the way .

I've got Cardy Uggs that are on their 4th Winter and Classic ones on their 3rd, and neither of them have worn through. I would be a bit miffed in your position TBH!

Just thought I'd update this.
Took my Uggs into my local Schuh store today (not the one they were bought from). The manager examined them, agreed straight away that they were defective and offered a full refund. I'm very impressed with the customer service and will be buying another pair of uggs from them, unfortunately they had no winter uggs in store today.
The only downside is that am now stuck in an old pair of leather boots (not uggs) and really missing the warmth and comfort of the sheepskin lining. I have genuinely never had a pair of boots as lovely as the uggs and need to replace very soon.

Do you like bailey button uggs as they were £79.99 on the website m and m direct. I have some and they are very cozy.
