Not a kiddie bag (so no Barbie/Hello Kitty or Moshy Monster type)
Not too big so that it looks like she's borrowed mine.
Pockets for her purse & tissues and enough room for a bottle of water or soft drink.

Any ideas? Smile

maybe this?
I like cross-body ones anyway for security :)
Think I had a mini back pack at that age, they were cool

sorry, that's annoying - takes you to generic JL site Confused
Try typing in product code 33350701

dd has this dumbo one. Grin and she is exactly the same age as your dd.

The smaller cath kidston bags are popular amongst that age group. Or a trip to primark/new look?

I saw a very cute owl-shaped one in Claires recently but can't see it on the website. This is from Accessorize and similar - but more expensive, natch.

We're off to Lakeside or Bluewater this week.
Dependin on which one I'm reckoning a trip to Claires/New Look /JL /Primark will be on DDs agenda.

She's eyeing up my Kipling bags (though I have capacious handbags) they have small ones.
And she's asking me "They last a long time don't they?"

(I have 2 bags- one black, one brown. So none of my bags she can poach) Wink

Kipling bag in the CANDY style I bought one in lilac when my daughter was 12 she still has it 3 years later. Has washed brilliantly and been a godsend and she is not a girly girl more a dr marten kinda girl.

Try TK Maxx for Kipling bagsM I was in the Leeds brnach and they had quite a few at pretty decent prices. In fact try TK Maxx and you are bound to find something

DD got me onto the QVC website and got me to order the Candy bag (I've got a black one. She likes the way it turns into a backpack. I only ever use it as a cross-body bag)

There was a choice of blue or lilac.

I did have a look on Ebay, Debenhams but pricewise QVC was better.

I'm betting the black one will be 'borrowed' by DD now Hmm

Thank You Ladies Thanks

My DD ( just 11) is also getting into proper bags.
So far, she has a small Radley pink handbag, small Kipling purple across body bag, primark bigger than her purple bag and two Paul Franks. Grin

Also a Kipling backpack and paul frank messenger bags.

( not to mention all the other backbacks she has for clubs/guides etc..)

She takes after me. Wink

I saw very sweet LeSportsac Kasey crossbody style recently and was going to get it for DD4 (11). I only didn't because I remembered she already has a Vera Bradley bag exMIL got for her that is perfectly fine.

My DD4 (10) has one very similar to this, except a matt navy - I quite wish they did it with a longer strap so I could nab it!

From Zara:
www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-neu-W2012-s/317654/947051/PATENT%20LEATHER%20BAG

She also has a couple from Accessorize. DD3 is 12, she's got a Cath Kidston one, but it is quite big.
