Alexander McQueen Kingdom perfume - is there an alternative or somewhere to find it cheaper?

I've used Alexander McQueen Kingdom for about 8 years and I love it. My present bottle is empty and I've looked on ebay but the bottles there are going for £60 - £100!

I think it's been discontinued so people are hoiking their prices up.
My DD used to use a bargain perfume website, anyone know of the name of it?

If not I need a recommendation for an alternative Sad

I can't find any cheaper either. There is a thread on Basenotes, a perfume forum, about possible alternatives
You are looking for something with lots of cumin, dirty and sexy. Vivienne Westwoods perfumes may be a start. Serge Lutens does Musc Koublai Khan but its at least £80 a bottle. Its very dirty!

Dirty??!!!
Exciting!

I'll check out that link, thanks. I don't want to pay double or triple the original price just because McQueen popped his clogs.

Yep, kiwi's right. Try Vivienne Westwood's Boudoir as a starter for ten. Funnily, I purchased Kingdom as a blind buy in post Christmas sale many moons ago. I hated it. Maybe my finer tuned nose might like it now.

eBay.de is the best place generally. Before bidding, ask the German-based sellers to ship to the UK (shipping is usually very inexpensive, a couple extra quids). Most will comply.

Often broader selection and better prices than on ebay.co.uk.

I think that Kingdom has been discontinued so looking abroad probably won't help. I'm bidding on a 25ml bottle that isn't even full atm - for too much money!

shoeprincess is Boudour similar to koingdom - I mean did you like it, even though you didn't like Kingdom?

Tk Maxx possibly.

Erm, not really as it smelt too heady and cumin-y (is that a word?), like Kingdom did, so I actually think you will find it a good replacement. My friend absolutely loved it on me. I expect you will get a lot of compliments on it. Boudoir is one of those "dirty" fragrances. Go test it out in Debenhams and report back Xmas Smile

eBay.de is where I always find discontinued perfumes - very rare ones too, and Kingdom is not rare although it is discontinued.

If you bothered to give a look you might find what you need for a very reasonable price...

Wow yes! I have found some on ebay.de for 2 euros at present - I've used google translate to ask the seller if they will ship to UK - fingers crossed!

Different eBay sites have different content because people also sell locally. I use eBay.de for perfumes and eBay.fr and eBay.it for fashion (amazing barely used designer items, much less competitive bidding = bargain prices). eBay.co.uk is for some reason swamped with American items that are problematic because of possible import duties. Plus European luxury items are often marked up to start with in the US, they are rare and difficult to get there. On the continent, people tend to use more interesting perfumes and many smaller towns have indie perfume shops. Often they also sell online, listing locally.

In most cases European sellers are willing to ship within the EU if you ask nicely. Asking in English is almost always fine.

Two friends recently scored bottles of very valuable discontinued perfume on an European auction site at a bargain price - the seller was probably just liquidating old stock from a discontinued store and had no idea how valuable it really was.

I've found Bvlgari Man smells quite similar to Kingdom :)

I like Kingdom perfume myself so I found that Chopard Madness reminds me of Kingdom, slightly weaker but still brings scent memories flooding back Smile
