Massimo Dutti - poor customer service beware!!

I know there has been lots of threads about poor customer service recently but forewarned is forearmed!!

After recent rave reviews about Massimo Dutti in fashion blogs (Does My Bum look 40 in this etc) I was really excited to see a store near my Spanish holiday destination and went inside a did a trolley dash.

Having returned home I washed one of the items and it has shrunk, and lost the metallic sheen it previously had. I emailed customer services explaining my issue and asking how I am best to resolve it, I received a very short answer explaining I needed to return it to a store. Great....when I already explained my nearest store was at least two hours drive away. I emailed them again....and this time had a response saying I have two years to take it back to a store, or I could return it to head office, but they didn't give me any contact details..... I have emailed again and haven't received a response as yet! All I want is a replacement top!

If this is a representative example of their customer service then Massimo Dutti cares very little for a) ensuring its garments are of the highest quality and b) trying to resolve any customer concerns in a fast and efficient matter whilst mainiting the "customer is always right" mantra". Having done a quick internet search I am not their only disgruntled customer, it's a shame as their A/W12 looked so promising....

Oooh, this is interesting...
Last week I had been planning to make a rather large purchase after looking at their items online.
I thought it best to pop into one of the stores to check my sizing (I am a UK size 12) and had a VERY bad experience in the shop with a bitchy horrid store assistant who clearly thought I was either the wrong sort of customer or just too fat.
Needless to say, it left me so upset that I had to go and spend £500 in Hobbs.
