Dove maximum protection...genius marketing ploy or genuine science?

Recently bought a dove maximum protection deodorant & it says for best results apply at bed time but you can also apply in the morning. Is this a clever marketing ploy as most people who use deodorant wouldn't be comfortable not using deodorant in the morning (or is that just me?) & therefore people will use twice a day or does it really work just at night time?

No there is something in it that works at night when the sweat glands are less active. I have had similar from gp too.

Obviously someone will be along shortly to fill in the detail Grin

If it's like Mitchum or dri-clor, then you put it on at night so it has time to dry before you sweat it off immediately by rushing around. It's to do with the coating, I think.
