Help please! I NEED a compact laptop backpack - byt everything I find is MASSIVE...

I'm 5ft 2" and find myself lugging my 15" macbook around everywhere. The one-shoulder bag I have for it is giving me a very painful back and shoulder, so I think I need a backpack to spread the weight more evenly/comfortably.

Ordered one from Amazon without checking the dimensions - it arrived, I put it on and I looked like a teenage mutant ninja turtle! It's ENORMOUS. I'm a petite 5ft 2", so I need something not that much bigger than my laptop, really...

I'm drawing a blank online - they all seem to be huge.

I quite like this one:

but I can't find the dimensions anywhere so not sure if I'll have the same problem. And it's a bit £££...

I can't be the only person in the world looking for a laptop rucksack that's not bigger than her own torso, am I? I figured if anyone knew of one, it would be you lot of lovely stylish ladies.

I just want something sleek, that doesn't make me look like the aforementioned TMJT or a European student going inter-railing.

Please help before I become the hunchback of notre-dame...

If I were you I'd jsut get a sleeve and carry it in a normal, nice, small back pack.

OK - good thought... I was, I suppose, trying to minimise weight (the laptop is a lovely thing, but is also a BRICK).

So, any ideas on a lively, slimline backpack big enough for a 15" Macbook (but not much bigger??!)

Osprey make quite nice laptop backpacks. Bit pricy, but excellent quality.

But I'd probably do what PAMM said and get a sleeve and a bag that fits you like.

I have this and love it
Not sure how compact you need it - but this has made my commute so much more comfortable - lugged laptop to and from work throughout pregnancy no problems.
