French connection dress

Got this dress today for an outing to the pub with a friend tomorrow night. I was thinking of wearing ribbed tights, a cardie, denim jacket and I have no idea what shoes. I don't want heels, any ideas? My feet are large so ballet pumps don't look great unless with jeans.

Have I got this look totally wrong? Is it a bit maternity looking? Should I give up, take it back and start again? Is it too young for 29 yr old?

Thanks

Dress would really suit someone who looks like Twiggy imo

It is called clover dust vest dress.

I am size 10 but long hair and probably taller than twiggy. Really bloated tummy due to af so am thinking of something that will not show off that area.

Yes but I was thinking of wearing a slip underneath or vest and with the rights it wouldn't look so bad. Eek I've made a mistake haven't I? Need more opinions!!

I love it, but second the slip! Not sure about shoes. Dare I say, brogues?

It looks like a difficult look to pull off, IMO - I think you can do better than this

I like the idea of brogues too
Esp ones with a small heel

I'm glad you are a size 10 as I think this dress wouldn't look good on someone who is a bigger size than that. Do you have straight hair?
