How many pairs of jeans?!

I was just sorting out my wardrobe and i have 20 pairs of jeans. DH thinks this is excessive, i say it's probably about normal so i have agreed to do a quick straw poll...can i ask how many pairs of jeans you own?

4 skinny, 3 bootleg, 2 very flared, 5 straight + about 15 other pairs of assorted trousers.

And I am contemplating these

12 pairs of jeans - but I'm not really into clothes. Shoes are my thing - I have 543 pairs (at last count!) which DH thinks is excessive - I don't. grin

2. 1 black skinny, 1 blue flared.

Clearly I need more jeans. One pair relaxed straightish fit, dark blue. One park tapered straight, mid blue. One pair dark grey skinny. One pair mustard colour. Contemplating another tapered straight Uniqlo coral colour. Love clothes, and wear jeans most of the weekend and sometimes at work, but seem to manage with this number.

Bloody hell.. I am in the wrong section. I have 2 pairs sad

I've probably got about 20 pairs too OP, due to putting weight on, buying more to fit, keeping slimmer ones as aiming to get back in them, etc.

Corikey... I only wear jeans every day, very rarely anything else, and I only have... 4 pairs? So yes, 20 is a wee bit excessive.

Thank you for your responses i guess it's not too bad then...

mrsmartin 543 pairs of shoes, very impressive & not at all excessive wink

One denim (too big though), three pairs various coloured skinnies.

20 sounds seriously excessive to me tbh.

I've got - blue skinnies / grey skinnies / blue boyfriend / dark blue bootcut - I'd like a pair of v dark blue and/or black skinnies and then I think that's plenty for me.

3 pairs. And I live in jeans. But I find 3 about right, they last generally 3-4 years each, by which time I'm feeling the need for a change of style. Anyway, I don't have the cupboard space for more unless I throw all of DH's clothes out.

Chubfuddler Sat 11-Feb-12 21:37:06

Five. One doesn't fit. So four.

HeadyEddie Sat 11-Feb-12 21:41:05

I have 4 pairs and wear a pair everyday, never wear anything else blush (well, I do also wear a t-shirt, but you get what I mean!)

I've lost a lot of weight though so I just have the ones I've bought since I've been this size. If I'd been this size for longer I could easily have say, 10 pairs? I think 20 is on the high side but not a crazy amount.

pollyblue Sat 11-Feb-12 21:46:05

7 pairs last time I looked, although one pair are a bit too tight and one too big. The rest (flares and bootcut) i wear all the time, I live in jeans pretty much.

LadyWord Sat 11-Feb-12 21:47:15

8 pairs, but of those -
2 are crops so just for summer
3 have gone through at the knees
1 is tiny and last worn about 9 years ago but they are so nice, I've kept them

Leaving one decent non-holy, normal pair that fits! And I wear them a lot. At least this thread makes me feel justified in buying some more soon.
