What should I do now?

I ordered some boots for dd from a website (www.lollipopschildrensshoes.co.uk)that looked fine and not dodgy, but they haven't arrived. The website said they had a shop (I think in worcester maybe?) so I called but no answer and I emailed them.No reply.I have just checked the website again and it comes up as "account suspended".The boots were about £50 so a lot to lose. What should I do now? I am not sure if the payment went through paypal,I can't see it in my paypal listings anyway.

Oh hun I feel for you, looks like you may have been done over. I really hate websites like that.

Lets hope it hasn't gone through your paypal account.

If you can't see it in your paypal listings i would suspect it hasn't gone through. paypal are normally quite quick aren't they?

Ring paypal, they are always there.

Also find out if it was an instant bank transfer, you can sometimes recall a payment or stop it going through.

So call paypal and call your bank, don't just leave it, as the sooner you act the better x

Also if you've actually paid for something via paypal, as long as it was 'goods' then you'll be able to claim it back if not received.

Don't panic. The likelihood is that the payment was not taken OR can be reclaimed.

But do act now as otherwise they may still try to take it.

I think it may not have been paypal,it may have been just through the site.It was about five weeks ago and I waited a while for the boots to arrive and then started contacting them etc. They sounded legit, directions to the shop etc.I guess they've gone bust but they still took my money Sad. I am about to trawl through bank stuff, now I'm worrying they might have taken more money out or something,is that possible? I haven't kept much of an eye on outgoings due to combining Christmas shopping with ill toddler etc, usual chaos!

Sorry, I tried to reply to this yesterday but the computer was playing up and it looks like it didn't post.

I hope you have been in touch with the bank by now. Do they have a helpline you can call? That's what I'd do, try to establish whether the payment was ever taken (unlikely to have gone out more than once, really, though it's possible - just usually that's an error if it does happen) but if you paid by visa debit card, or by credit card, you will be able to claim the money back.

Definitely speak to your bank and/or card issuer. Good luck Smile

I haven't seen a shop by that name in worcester - did you have an address?

Actually it was in cocoa yard,Nantwich,Cheshire,if anyone knows it? (I can still see the address by googling)
I had such a hectic day today as we had unexpected visitors that I had to give up on my call to the bank so will call them tomorrow. The transaction was with worldpay not paypal, annoyingly, but I did either pay on my visa debit or my mastercard so I am reassured that you think I will be able to claim the money back.
