Question abuot those funny badge things (what are they called?) you get for crocs style shoes

I am sure this is a really silly question but how do they attach to the shoe?

DS invested his pocket money in one on tueday and so far I have not been able to attach it to his shoe.

It looks like the back clip bit should remove so that I can poke the stem trhough the hole and reattach the back bit (a bit like those pin badges you get) but I cannot get the back bit off.

Please help

Thanks a lot

(sorry for the silly question!

Just push it through from the top

It doesn't look like it will push though the hole - the badge is a train and is maybe 1cm across and the base is a circle again about 1cm accross.

Gah how hard can it be?

It looks like it won't push through, but they do. Do not try and remove the back. They are called jibbitz. Did you get croc ones or cheapy ones. You have to watch with the cheapy ones as they have a tendency to break.

Wow - I did not even attempt to push it through.

DS's shoes are croc style ones from jojomaman bebe so maybe it won't fit as the holes too small? Are actual crocs branded ones made with bigger holes? Oops I just assumed it was like a badge and the back came off to clip it on.

Think I may have a very disappointed DS having invested a whole £1 (two weeks pocket money) in something that won't work.

Will try and shove it though went I get home but I doubt it will go There are his shoes (v small holes!)

jojocrocstyle

do you think they will fit?

Hmmmm they do actually provide instructions on the crocs website

www.crocs.co.uk/Train---Green-with-Red-Wheel/3100020-00177-0001,en_GB,pd.html?cid=001&cgid=jibbitz-other-styleshowtofit

I honestly did not even consider that the thing would fit through the hole!

Reckon that actual crocs are maybe made of a more flexible material than the ones we have but will have a go

Thank you for your help!

Yes it will fit, you really just need to push, it can be quite sore on the fingers!

My ds2 was obsessed with these last summer...was barely a single unadorned hole left on his crocs! They do push through, sideyways on, some more easily than others, but it may be the case that as yours are not actual crocs, that the holes are smaller or a slightly different shape.
If it doesn't fit at all, maybe the shop would change it for your ds...would need to be a shop assistant with a heart of stone to ignore the request of a wobbly lipped small child who had lost all their pocket money!

Thanks! I just assumed that they had two parts - had no idea it was a shove it with all your might job.

This is the first thing he has bought with his own money so here's hoping it does work.......

(unfortunately I feel I cannot go back to the shop as we were only in there as I had to return the second faulty pair of shoes we got there and they must think I am a nightmare customer - one of the reasons I caved in and splashed out a whole pound on a shoe badge, sorry jibbitz) Blush

Thanks v much for the tips. I had no idea how hard it would be but I did manage to force it through in the end.

The jibitz is around three times the cirmumference of the hole but I finally managed it, is very akin to giving birth Grin

DS now wants to get more - not sure my fingers will recover!
