My beautician says she uses them successfully - maybe once a month after her mums roast dinners.

Just a thought if they could help drop a few pounds. I've heard stories of getting the runs etc with them - but am thinking that is if you are eating loads of fat and not modifying your diet while taking them.

Any good ones out there?

I tried Adios, made me as sick as a dog. Also one of those I-am-full-of-chitin-which-sticks-to-fat pills. Didn't work. Now I just starve for a week cut out carbs if I need to shift a few pounds.

Lots of water, fresh fruit, veg stir frys, smaller portions of meals and no carbs for a week.

Do not take pills!

I've used Alli to drop some pounds before a wedding - it prevents you from absorbing fat from meals, you need to follow the instructions as if you eat too much fat during a meal - you certainly suffer the consequences...

but it does work. For every 1lb you would normally lose, you lose about 3lbs...

None of those herbal ones work, the only one that does is Alli.

but am thinking that is if you are eating loads of fat and not modifying your diet while taking them.

If you do that anyway, you'll lose weight. It always says on the advert for these pill that they will only work as part of a diet and exercise program. So it's the diet and exercise program that's making you lose weight whilst using them- not the pill, it's just a placebo.

You can eat as much fat as you like and still lose weight if you don't mix fats and carbs...check out the Harcombe Diet. Fat is not the enemy, processed foods are.

Alli will work - it has been clinically proven. Nothing else has - it is the diet and exercise modification which changes weight. I can't tell you why this is fact, but it is :)
