What should I wear with this dress?

From a previous thread someone linked to this dress. I ordered it and really like it especially the price! I got it to wear to a wedding in June but I don't know what to wear with it. I could probably find something nicer if I ever got time to go shopping but seeing as i'm on a budget this is perfect. Is it too plain? Could I add something to it? What shoes etc. I don't even know what colour I should be looking for....I think matching them wouldn't work, so what would? Navy? Tan? I need help from you ever so wise and stylish ladies-Please! What's your budget for shoes?

Something like these might be good, then you could easily find a bag to match I would have thought....

Which colour do you have? The pink one?
It's lovely by the way... yes you could absolutely accessorise it for a wedding.

these are also nice and also cheaper, but sandals might be better for June...

DP also have these blue ones, depending upon the colour of your dress they might look great!

NO no no to any of the above.Nice shoes but suede in summer?. You need a pair of nude platforms-Lk Bennet if want to spend pennies,New look if you want to save them.

Hmmm-budget-it depends really-if they are really lovely and will be usefull with other things then a bit more, but i'm still talking no more than £50 really unless they were really really lovely and I can get hold of some extra money!

The dress is the 'pink' one but is coral/orange in RL.

Looking at the above comments I have much to learn [cshock]
So is nude the colour I need to look for? I worry that nude washes me out and makes me look even pastier than normal I suppose I could fake tan?

One other issue I have is that my toes are freaky all roughly the same length (except my little toe!) and they all look quite pointy at the front-especially the open toe ones.

Do I match my bag to shoes or is that wrong? Confused And what else should I accessorise wiith?

I'm so clueless!

You need nude courts with a decent sized heel. Sandals not appropriate for that dress imo

Something like these perhaps?

Are these ok? or are they too white?

I have trouble with classic court shoes as I find that when I walk my foot slips out at the back and then won't just slip back in again....is this just me? Maybe i've just never had a good pair.

Thanks sorky-they may be worth a try-it might have just been the ones I've had before that or i'm just weird! They're a very good price...

They probably didn't fit properly.

You could try a kitten heel, same shop, if it's the height of the heel making your foot come forward.

How about these Bargain Shoes and then you could have a professional spray tan done too [csmile]

Sorky-I thought that might have been the case-they were both very last min buys and had very high heels!

ballstoit-they are a bargin-sold out in my size though and the nude looks quite pink... Spray tan may be a good idea!

I love that dress - gorgeous colour.

from my DD1(15)
firstly love the dress very nice colour
can do one of two things

  1. go with black accessories ie little skinny black belt and some black court shoes like these ones black (better if the weather is not great or if its mainly outside cos then you can wear a nice tailored jacket over it and it will still look nice)
  2. you can use a more summery theme if the weather is nicer
so like a gold skinny belt??? and some gold bangles (you can get sets really cheaply) or a statement gold ring like this www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=2314238&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208556&parent_categoryId=204484&pageSize=20&refinements=category~[210010|208556]&noOfRefinements=1

Definitely not gold jewellery with coral/pink...it will look tacky; silver or pearl would look better imo.
