how long is too long? maternity after pregnancy

How long do you think it's acceptable to wear your maternity clothes after pregnancy? I know that there is a period after birth when nothing works and you are stuck in no man'sland regarding clothes but how long is acceptable?

Do some of you still wear maternity stuff even though you haven't been pregnant for a while.

I'm due in may and have bought some lovely white jeans which I want to wear for the rest of summer, obv not straight after birth as white and post pregnancy don't go, but would it be ok to wear them in september?

I have a couple of maternity tops I still wear from pg with DD (2006). if it looks fine and is comfortable, wear whatever the hell you like

Still in my maternity trousers 3.2 years after DD was born, they're very comfy :)

If you're planning on wearing it to the DC's graduation/wedding, it's been too long.
