How Natural is your Natural Look??

Following on from the recent slap thread, I just started thinking about how unnatural my "natural" look is.

Aside from your make-up, what else do you do on a regular basis to maintain your natural beauty?? Grin

Here I go:

Daily:
Shave legs, pits and lady garden
Moisturise all over
Face and eye cream (morning and night)

Weekly:
Exfoliate body and face

Fortnightly:
Shop manicure
Home pedicure
Eyebrow threading

Monthly:
Face mask
Hair mask

Three-monthly:
Facial (if money permits!)

Six-monthly:
Botox
Detal hygienist

Yearly:
Teeth whitening

Also visit the gym three times a week and treat myself to the occasional sunbed or spray tan.....

I brush my teeth and put on deodorant. I don't even blow dry my hair anymore. I am 24 though so hopefully I am getting away with it! When I start working and earning pennies i'll start doing things with my caterpillars and nails again.

Not very different ...

Daily:

The same, but

  • add serum to face and eye cream morning and night. Also body and foot cream every morning.

-shaving for me only needed on weekly, not daily, basis, plus lip waxing every few weeks.
  • wash and blast dry hair. Don't use shampoo ebvery day and only use conditioner about once a week. Hair mask occasionally.

Twice weekly:
Exfoliate face and body (with different products of course). Face mask.

Monthly:

Eye brow tidy, by threading or otherwise, plus eye lash and brow tint

Every six weeks:

Hair cut and colour
Professional manicure and pedicure

Three-monthly:

Facial if money permits

Visit chiropodist for treatment of slightly ingrowing toenails and hard skin

Six monthly:

Dental hygienist

Not a fan of botox or sunbeds. For special occasions, have a professional fake tan, and have been known to have eyelashes permed.

Of course, all this is before I apply my 'no make-up' looking make-up - though I don't feel the need to do that every single day, particularly as I spend time and effort on my skin as above!

Daily:

Shower
Wash hair
Shave legs/pits/bikini line
Moisturise face
Lip balm
Hand cream

Weekly:

Eyebrows
Trim 'downstairs areas'

When I remember/special occasions:

Moisturise body
Straighten hair
Paint nails
Exfoliate

For someone who appears very high-maintenance, I'm actually not at all. And my bf prefers me make-up free and in yoga pants, so this discourages me from doing all the beauty-faff.

my natural look
is...moisturise daily all over without fail.
Even if no other makeup, always mascara, concealer, foundation and powder (only because i hate my red cheeks)but the base has to look natural..not too glowy and not too matt either
I never ever pluck, no need, its the only plus side to having a thyroid problem..the last time i plucked was about 15 yrs ago, they never ever grew back (though have annoyingly lost outer ends of brows)
Shave legs about every ten days (another benefit of underactive thyroid..there arent any others though!)
Foot file daily
Hair cut once a year, as i like hair to look natural and not too groomed
dye it myself about twice a yr (nearly 40 and never had a grey)
