Right, what do you think of this?

from Wallis

I got it today as I've been asked to speak at a function tomorrow (all day thing, only speaking for 5 mins) where there will be lots of people who know me but who I don't see very often.

Am 5 months pregnant with quite a big bump, otherwise a size 12ish. Have bought in size 14 and it fits fine. Wanted something that showed off hte bump rather than leaving people wondering whether or not I'd eaten too much over the Christmas period. I find things that stretch over the bump and come back under it (iykwim) more flattering for that than loose hanging things that make me look bigger than I am.

It's longer on me than on the model (just above knee) and will probably wear with knee high flatish boots as can't balance in lovely heels any more. I know it's polyester so will have to wear industrial-strength deodorant. It's a bolder pattern than I'd usually wear. And I've put a black vest top under it as it's a bit too low otherwise.

What do you think? This, or stick with my usual semi-smart maternity option (wide leg jersey trousers in black and a wrap tunic)?

I think this is a good outfit, and I agree with you wanting to look pregnant not fat. Good luck :)

Oh thank you both! I'm really relieved someone else likes it (well my 3yo gave the thumbs up but can't really be trusted)

Just trying to find something for other the top (jacket/cardi) now as it's not super-warm.

Hello Norkily Smile

How's the pregnancy going?

WRT to outfit: Have you got a black blazer? Or a contrasting colour blazer?

Hi tethers.

Going okay - am enormous, grumpy, aching and tired. Sounds about right.

I've only got that slightly sparkly blazer from the wedding (tis silvery) or a light grey suit jacket I suppose. Bit formal maybe? Would like colour ideally but not got much except a fuschia cardigan...
